Is the Game based on the Feature Film Rift?

Yes, the game shares the same universe as the movie RIFT, and follows similar plot and themes, but the game is very much a stand alone experience and takes the IP / story much further than the feature film.

The USP of this game lies in its overall game mechanic where the player also simultaneously controls Max, via smart commands and can utilize his powers, but must use them wisely; Max gets weaker the more that his abilities are tapped by the player.

Where does the game take place?

The entire game takes place inside the large complex fortress called AXION.

There is a total of eighteen floors in this high rise medical facility that is protected with state of the art security and heavily armed personnel, guarding the dark secrets of defence financed research & experiments in the areas of quantum physics.

Is there Combo elements in the gameplay?

Player will be awarded combo points when executing a series of action combining Max power abilities timed with your own gun / melee action to take out enemies.

How long is the game ?

MAX BEYOND will be 8 hours long but we will develop a system that procedurally changes things in the game (to reflect the multiverse theme), making each time you play it feel like a fresh experience, which means it could clock up to 15+ hours for gamers who strive to see all aspects of the game.

Yes, its couch co-op, In this co-op mode, Player 1 controls Leon & Player 2 controls Max, via Split Screen.
