The BMW R100 GS1000 laid the foundations for the modern GSs and left an indelible mark on two-wheeled adventure, alongside the Suzuki DR 800 S BIG with the largest single-cylinder engine of its time and the Yamaha XTZ 750 Super Ténéré, that blends twin-cylinder power with rally-level precision.
