Why Early Access?
We’re excited to bring Roboplant to the Early Access Program. Customer feedback is fundamental to us building a successful product – if we know what our players want then we can create a more tailored gaming experience.
We’re a small team and this is our first game, so we hope early access will be a mutually beneficial, collaborative process between the dev team and all of you. Your feedback will help us to make the best possible version of Roboplant.
We’re building this game from the ground up and your investment in this early version of the game will help us to sustain the company so we can continue world building.
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
We estimate that we’ll stay in early access for no more than a year after the initial release date.
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
The early access versions of the game will have a limited number of the more complex features available, compared with the planned final release of the game. These include different research paths and events that have the potential to change the course of your game. These features work to enrich the gameplay and make it extra fun, so we’re aiming to add more of them to each release so players get a good idea of how the game can advance. We will try to keep an updated public roadmap with all the future features.
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
This early access version will allow players to play most of the game in its basic form. In simple terms, that means you’ll be provided with all the tools to manage a hydroponic farming empire on Mars, including factory construction, worker management, producing and harvesting crops, access to the sales market, and the option to carry out basic research. We currently don’t have the end game sequences or the more advanced research options, which allow players to unlock different features of the game. Since it’s still in development, there are of course some bugs, but otherwise, it’s a highly playable version of the game.
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
We plan to offer the early release of Roboplant at a discount from either a crowdfunding campaign or directly here and will define the final release price in the coming months.
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
We believe that community is really what makes the game, and we’re keen to engage with our players. You can find us on both Discord and Reddit, where you can jump in and start discussing Roboplant and proposing ideas. We also have a regular devblog, where we detail what we’re working on, share images and videos, and discuss what’s going right (and wrong!) with production.
You can also follow our progress on TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter.
