Ruins of Tearyn

A social PvE indie MMO inspired by classic-era designs (1999 - 2004)!

Ruins of Tearyn is being developed by Fabled Karma Studios - aka. Christen Main (@gameDEVbeauty) and Christopher Main (@TheMainStark). Both of which have a decade working in Unreal Engine, received $100,000 in Epic MegaGrants for Vertical Third, Unreal Authorized Instructors and key authors for the Epic Games Game Design Professional Certificate on Coursera (Courses 5 - 8).

Ruins of Tearyn is an Indie MMO in Pre-Production with an open development cycle. RoT started in November of 2024 and is powered by Vertical Third, which significantly reduces our scope for creating an Indie MMO.

Disclaimer: Art style, aesthetic and characters are all placeholder. Our current focus is on gameplay, content, technical features and server scalability. We playtest several times a year and our demo is available to participate when these play tests are live.

June, 2025: Character Select & Persistency Implemented
September, 2025: Zone-To-Zone Loading & First Raid Encounter
