Whats the difference between SimpleMPS and SimpleMPS Premium?
SimpleMPS Premium is an addon allowing 10 exlusive cosmetics at a time to the players who own premium. Premium players will always get a special edition Gold Skin that will always be exclusive to them plus 9 other cosmetic items that will become available over time and may be swapped out to accomadate better skins (if skins are fased out they will go into the store rotation and not return to Premium but all premium players will keep the skin)
Are there items (such as additional content, offers or currency) for sale that are used in the gameplay of your product?
The in-app purchases available are cosmetic items to allow yourself to look different to others (skins) or emotes. No cosmetic items available are intended to provide benefits to those who are wearing them (for example a green skin may be produced but it may have adverse side affects which makes it easier or harder to see people on the maps). If this happens then and many requests to change it are brought to us about it then we will either
a) fix the skin to make it less advantagous/disadvantagous
or
b) we will release a statement explaining why the skin will not be changed (for example if its a one case scenario making it much harder to see said skin in one corner on a specific map)
Can your product be used without making any in-app purchases?
In-App purchases are not required and are purely there as cosmetics. This helps keep the game funded for future expansions without requiring players to spend large amounts of money. DLC content may be released in the future requiring payment but this will be DLC bought off the specific store with the price shown there (an example being SimpleMPS Premium).
Are in-app purchases refundable?
In-App purchases are not refundable and will have a set USD value to all items (No digital currency).
What payment platform is used to facilitate these purchases? Do you use Epic Games’ platform or a 3rd-party (including your own) payment system?
The Epic Games's platform will be used to facilitate these in-app purchases. The way in-app purchases are handled may change in the future when the game releases to more platforms but a notice will be supplied beforehand.
Why Early Access?
We have decided to go as early access because currently the development team consists of 1 person (myself) with a few others helping out with ideas and some map design in the background so it didn't seam feasable or practicall to spend the next 3 years building out all the maps and and gamemodes I'd like to see come to the game plus fix any bugs that you (as the player) are more likely to find
What is included in Early Access?
Early access will just grant you the ability to play SimpleMPS before its release. There are no special items planned (as of yet) for Early Access players.
What is the current state of the game?
The current state of the game when it releases to Early Access will be its complete as a Minimum Viable product, having the basic functionalities built in. For release these are planned to be included:
Basic Pistol,
Inventory System,
Lobby System,
First Close-Quarters map (designed for 2-10 players),
Early build of Search and Survival (a custom gamemode)
How long will the game be in Early Access?
The game will be in early access for an undetermined amount of time but this aims for it to build over time and not rush new functionality
How often will you be updating the game?
The game will be updated in stages. The patch cycles will folow this naming convention:
X.x.a
X = Major patches; bringing lots of new features or maps or tieing together large parts of old features
x = Sub patch; Smaller functionality or map changes to bring in new technology as its needed
a = dev version; the dev version is the last version we released to beta testers to find bugs and get a go/no-go.
These patches will be random, Aiming for 1-2 x patches a month with X patches being released when ready. The dev team is small and everchanging (1 part-time and others volunteering when available) so its not expected to be the most reliable when patches will be released but its always aimed to be as stable as possible upon larger player release.
Will my progress be saved during updates?
The goal is to keep as much progress saved between updates as possible. Currently only the Search and Survival (SaS) gamemode has a save feature planned but rest assured that once cosmetics come with the in-game shop you will keep the items between patches and if you do not then please get in touch with our contant email for help.
Will the price change when the game leaves Early Access?
No. The game is planned to remain Free-2-Play for everyone with the premium edition and cosmetics helping keep our game running.
Can I provide feedback and bug reports?
Yes. Any bugs or feedback is greatly appreciated through our support email. Please keep them as concise as possible and we will get round to as many reports as possible and as quickly as possible
How do i become a beta tester?
There are two types of beta testers, Wave 1 and Wave 2. Wave 1 gets access to the dev branch, Wave 2 gets access to Stable Branch. Wave 2 will have less time with the game but will consist of a larger amount of players. Wave 1 is kept for people close to Z Assorted Works (known personally or through other projects). As new builds are available they will go to Wave 1 for a short period of time before going to Wave 2 for a longer period to allow for a larger testing group and more time (Wave 1 Closed Doors, Wave 2 Open Doors).
