Why Early Access?
Special Force Remaster is a remastered version of Special Force1, a title originally developed and released by our team in July 2004, which has been serviced in over 100 countries for more than 21 years.
This project goes beyond a simple visual upgrade. Our goal is to reimagine the core strengths of the original game while integrating modern trends and systems, creating a new experience that respects its legacy.
For players who enjoyed the original Special Force, we aim to evoke familiar combat flow and nostalgic memories. For new players, we hope to introduce the unique charm of a classic tactical FPS.
While we have carefully implemented various mechanics using Unreal Engine 5, we believe this is the stage where real player feedback and hands-on experience are essential. Through Early Access, we aim to gather meaningful feedback and reliable gameplay data to further improve the quality and completeness of the game.
How long is the product in Early Access?
At this time, we do not have a fixed end date for the Early Access period.
However, based on our current development plans and the time required to gather sufficient gameplay data and player feedback, we expect Early Access to last at least approximately 4 to 5 months.
The exact duration may vary depending on the volume and quality of feedback collected and the improvements made during development. Once we have a clearer outlook, we will share updates with the community.
What is the current status of the Early Access version?
The Early Access version includes four playable maps:
three iconic maps from Special Force — Desert Camp, Nerve Gas, and Satellite — as well as one Sniper Training Map designed specifically for sniper-focused combat.
Available game modes include Free-for-All, Team Deathmatch, Sniper Mode, and large-scale Team Battles, which represent a core element of classic FPS gameplay. Team Battles are divided into Demolition and Capture missions depending on the map.
Players will have access to 27 weapons, including primary and melee weapons, along with 5 tactical devices that were not present in the original Special Force, enabling more strategic and varied gameplay.
How will the full version differ from the Early Access version?
Our top priorities for the full release are overall game quality, balance, and delivering a fun tactical FPS experience based on fair, skill-driven competition.
While the core combat mechanics and overall direction of the game will remain consistent, the full version will reflect player feedback and gameplay data collected during Early Access. Improvements and updates may include:
Overall balance adjustments and refinements to combat feel
Improvements to usability and UI/UX
Additional content and new gameplay elements
Stability improvements and performance optimization
Our goal is to deliver a more polished and complete version of Special Force Remaster at full release, built upon the feedback and data gathered during Early Access.
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
Special Force Remaster is a free-to-play game and will remain free-to-play after full release.
(Please note that In-App purchasable items will be available.)
