Why Early Access?
Storebound as a full game will be built around several episodes that form a bigger story. We already have a clear vision for the full narrative and each episode, but we need help from the community to make the best game possible. Early Access lets us share content early, gather feedback, and improve the current and following content as new episodes are added. This is even more important for a game like Storebound, as making engaging narratives, puzzles, and challenges requires lots of iterations and feedback.
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
We're aiming to release the 1.0 of the game within 2026, when all episodes are available.
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
Our Early Access roadmap consists of the release of more playable episodes. We plan to include all of Storebound's episodes in the full version of the game, meaning more content. Our plan is to bring, for each pair of episodes, a new playable scenario with new characters, new levels to explore, new puzzles to solve, and new lurking horrors to run from.
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
The game currently includes Episodes 1 to 4, representing an average game time of 3-4 hours, depending on the difficulty you select and on how quickly you solve the puzzles. Three difficulty modes let you choose between a more relaxed, exploration-focused experience or a tenser, more challenging one.
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
Your one-time purchase secures the full game: all future episodes and content updates are included at no additional cost as the game evolves toward its 1.0 release. As we add more content during Early Access, the game’s price will gradually increase. The 1.0 release will likely come with an adjustment as well, but we’ll always give players a heads-up before any change happens.
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
We already benefited a lot from community feedback when we released our demo, and our first episodes. This collaboration has helped us improve the game and inspired the next steps of development. We definitely want to keep working this way, so please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts on the Steam Hub or on Discord, we read everything!
