The Hive: Survival Mode

A new way to play The Hive: your swarm persists, losses matter, and every mission shapes the next.

Survival Mode adds a new way to play The Hive, built around one simple idea: your swarm persists.

Instead of resetting between missions, your units carry over to the next level, keeping their stats, levels, items, and upgrades. The resources you collect also carry over, which makes exploration and efficient clearing far more valuable.

Losses matter, resources are tighter, and every upgrade choice has long-term consequences. Build a colony that can endure, not just win the next fight.

Survival Mode is designed for players who want higher stakes, harder decisions, and the tension of a campaign where mistakes follow you.

Key New Features:
Persistent progression between missions
Units carry over with their stats, kills, levels, items, and upgrades. Resources carry over too.

Losses have lasting consequences
Sacrifice is no longer free. Bad trades weaken your next mission.

Scarcer economy, harder choices
Fewer resources means smarter expansion, stricter priorities, and less waste.

More enemies, higher pressure
Face increased enemy numbers and tougher resistance across the campaign.

A fresh strategic layer on top of the base game
Long-term planning becomes as important as tactical combat.

A new way to play The Hive
An alternate ruleset that changes how every mission connects into a single run.
