Train Sim World® 6: Transport for Wales BR Class 142 Pacer DMU
Bounce back to the Trafnidiaeth Cymru days of yesteryear with Just Trains’ detailed BR Class 142, transformed to reflect the teal-toned Pacers as they were in their last years of Welsh operation. Shuttle around the Cardiff City Network in Nodding Donkey style!
Since the mid-1980s, the Pacers have been rattling their way along passenger services throughout England and Wales. Love them or hate them, they left an impressionable mark on UK rail history, going from being a cheaper, bus-like stopgap, to serving with diligence across a 35-year career.
In Train Sim World 6, revisit Cardiff City Network in the iconic Class 142 Pacer! Across an all-new 2019 timetable, embark on hundreds of services that shuttle around the city limits in classic bouncy fashion.
Originally from the Blackpool Branches route, the Class 142 has been refurbished into modern condition. Operated by Transport for Wales, the Pacers carried an unbanded version of the previous TOC’s livery, with some receiving a large TfW banner promising a fresh start with TfW’s new fleet programme, which eventually saw the 142s retired in 2020.
As a bonus, the teal tones also carry across to the Class 150 and 153, fully representing the route before any trains had been painted in their new white and red livery.
Please Note: For the full experience, we recommend you own Train Sim World 6: Cardiff City Network which is available as a separate purchase.
