米滕瓦爾德鐵道 (Mittenwaldbahn) 穿越阿爾卑斯山，溝通德國巴伐利亞和奧地利提洛爾。這條路線於 1912 年開放，為了降低行駛的難度，從一開始就規劃為電氣化鐵路。
然而，即便採用電力牽引，翻山越嶺對標準軌距鐵道而言仍不輕鬆。這條路線有許多隧道和著名橋樑，以及斜度達到 3.8% 的大陡坡。此外，沿途還有許多山峰與峽谷，整條鐵道與海平面的距離最高達到 1,100 公尺。
在《Train Sim World 5》當中，你將在火車上擔任 ÖBB 及 DBB 的駕駛和列車長。你將回到 1989 年，駕著 ÖBB 1020「Krokodil」在山間奔馳。控制方向盤並查看機房中的活動閥門，載運滑雪觀光客和當地貨物。除了鱷魚機車外，遊戲中還會出現 BR 111。這是一種經典機車，能拉著車廂在山道上完成長距離的城市間運輸任務。
