Train Sim World® 6: Southern BR Class 171 & BR Class 377/3
Take a trip back to the seaside and hurry along the remastered Coastway with Rivet Games’ Southern BR Class 171 & BR Class 377/3, bringing new traffic and challenges to the historic coastal towns of Brighton and Eastbourne in both diesel and electric traction!
The Class 170 family has been a recognisable part of UK regional and longer-distance services for the past few decades. While mainly found north of the Thames, Southern also make use of the derivative Class 171 DMU on the last couple unelectrified lines on their network.
In Train Sim World 6, step into the cab of the Class 171 and hurry across East Coastway Remastered in an all-new timetable. Recall the last days of Southern’s diesel services into Brighton, before they were cutback to Eastbourne. The East Coastway route has its full traffic pattern available for the first time, including services between Lewes and Eastbourne.
Rivet Games’ Class 171 features both the 171/7 and 171/8 subclasses and differs from 170s with the addition of a Dellner coupler, used for coupling to Class 377s in emergencies, and of course Southern’s livery and interior. Also included is another variant of the 377 itself, the 3-car 377/3, featuring original Adtranz-style headlight clusters and adding extra variety for the Seaford stopping services.
Please Note: For the full experience, we recommend you own Train Sim World 6: East Coastway Remastered which is available as a separate purchase.
