Train Sim World® 6: West Coast Main Line: Crewe - Preston
Take in the sights and sounds of 1980s action with Just Trains’ West Coast Main Line: Crewe - Preston in Train Sim World. From pit to power station, go full-throttle - or not, as the case may be - on Britain’s iconic merry-go-round coal trains, and wind through Warrington & Wigan on express passenger duties.
The West Coast Main Line was built by many smaller companies during the birth of the railway era. Following the Grand Junction Railway’s arrival into Crewe from Warrington, the North Union Railway extended northward through Wigan and Preston.
In Train Sim World, get to work across a busy section of 1980s West Coast Main Line on a variety of mixed-traffic trains. Transport coal-laden Merry-Go-Round services between Bickershaw and Parkside collieries to Fiddlers Ferry Power Station, or power at speed through the North-West of England aboard electric-hauled expresses.
At your disposal is the BR Class 86/4, capable of hauling both passenger and freight. Supporting alongside is the hard-working Class 20/0 and Class 47/3, both of which sport Slow Speed controls. Featuring a myriad of classic liveries, all motive power will look the part while hauling all-new HAA hoppers, upgraded HEA hoppers, and air-con Mk2 coaches.
Embark across an intense and varied timetable which takes advantage of many backdated UK add-ons! (Layered content available separately). Route hop to Preston - Carlisle for an extended trip up the main line, or even hop your way through two eras, across the full 299 miles between London and Carlisle! (Other WCML routes available separately).
