TSW Compatible content released for a previous Train Sim World® - features may remain unchanged from the original release and may not make use of all newer core features.
Introducing modern freight hauling with one of the UK’s most iconic electric locomotives – the BR Class 90 from Alan Thomson Simulation - take control of pantograph-powered container trains and cruise between the traffic along the ever-bustling West Coast Main Line. The ubiquitous Class 90 races into service in Train Sim World.
Derived from advancing British Rail AC technology, and originally being described as the Class 87/2, the Class 90 was designed to get the UK’s electric rolling stock roster up to speed, as widespread electrification had outpaced locomotive construction. The 87/2 scheme was seen as a way of quickly procuring an additional fleet of modernised locos based on a successful frame but was reclassified when the design changed significantly. The resulting fleet of 50 locos became one of the most iconic electric designs built during the BR era.
In Train Sim World 6, step into the ergonomic and streamlined cab of the Class 90 and take charge of key services out of Wembley along the West Coast Main Line. Enjoy the comforts of 1980s tech with speed-set equipped and thyristor-controlled traction motors as you haul crucial container cargo between the rushing commuter traffic.
Alan Thomson Sim, in conjunction with AND Games and Imbue, deliver the Class 90 with two contemporary operators spanning no less than 5 liveries! From bold DB Cargo to iconic Freightliner, choose your flavour of freight traction across the WCML in Train Sim World. With Free Roam and Formation Designer, put the 90 to work on any route and rolling stock of your choosing.
Please Note: For the full experience, we recommend you own Train Sim World 6: West Coast Main Line: London - Milton Keynes which is available as a separate purchase.
