Cards of Eternity utilizes blockchain technology and NFTs to represent various in-game assets such as creatures, adventurers, cards, and crafting materials. These NFTs are stored on the blockchain and provide players with true ownership of their assets. Players can earn, trade, and use these NFTs across the various games within the Aether Games universe.

NFTs are also used to provide players with rewards and incentives. Players can earn rewards such as special in-game items, boosters and limited edition cards by completing tasks and interacting with the game. This allows developers to reward players with unique assets and provides an incentive to engage with the game.

What utility does this bring to the product?

By utilizing blockchain technology and NFTs, Aether Games is able to create a more engaging and immersive gaming experience for players. Blockchain allows for users to trade with each other in a decentralized way and have true ownership of their assets. This brings the utility of true ownership, decentralized trading, and unique rewards to the product.

Does this product require me to connect an external wallet? What wallets does this product support?

To play Cards of Eternity, connecting an external wallet is not required, and engaging with blockchain technology, also known as web3 gaming, is completely optional. The game provides the option to automatically create a wallet through a social login which can then be used to receive rewards directly. Additionally, payments through cryptocurrency are also an option by using Metamask or Trustwallet on your phone and scanning a QR code.

Can I use the product without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency?

Yes, you can play Cards of Eternity without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT or cryptocurrency. Engaging with blockchain technology is completely optional and not required to play the game.

What chain does this product use? Is the chain proof-of-work or proof-of-stake?

Cards of Eternity uses the Polygon blockchain. Polygon is a proof-of-stake blockchain.

Does this product have a marketplace? What can I do with the things that I earn (or purchase)?

Cards of Eternity has an in-game store and a marketplace where users can trade, buy and sell items. The $AEG tokens earned through playing can be used to craft new NFT assets, purchase more assets, nest inside upcoming Heirlooms or sold on the open market. Players also receive in-game tokens which can be used to purchase non-NFT assets that can be converted into NFTs using the $AEG token.

Purchased content includes booster packs containing cards, adventurers, ethernals, emotes and cosmetics such as card backs and skins. These items can enhance gameplay and provide a better competitive experience by allowing players to build unique decks or have outstanding visuals.

What is included in Early Access?

Early Access provides players with the opportunity to play and test different cards before the game’s full release. It includes 150 cards, 10 adventurers, and currently 4 ethernals.

What is the current state of the game?

Cards of Eternity is currently in an early beta stage as there is still a lot of content that has not been released. New content will include more companions, a crafting system and account leveling as well as various IPs coming to the game.

How long will the game be in Early Access?

The duration of Early Access will depend on the number of issues found by our community. We have a bounty program that rewards people for finding bugs. Cards of Eternity is estimated to go live Q2 2024.

How often will you be updating the game?

Cards of Eternity releases approximately one update per 2 weeks. Players are notified on Discord before a server restart.

Will my progress be saved during updates?

All progress is saved on our end. You do not need to manually save other than in the deck builder.

Will the price change when the game leaves Early Access?

Cards of Eternity is currently Free To Play. However, booster packs are currently cheaper for early adopters.
