How do I get started with MXR

MXR uses a variety of tools to create animations. Start with selecting objects from the content tab and dragging them into the view port. Then you can modify parameters from the details tab in the bottom right. Drag and drop "nodes" from the bottom control panel to parameters in the details panels to animate the objects.

Is MXR finished?

MXR is in pre-release beta. It's a work-in-progress and we value your input. Please join our community of creators to help shape the development this new tool.

What is included in Early Access?

The MXR beta has many of the features the final production is planned to have, including:

  • 3D scene creation tools

  • Automation tools, i.e. LFOs, Audio Analysis, Midi input mapping

  • FX like particle systems

  • Post Processing

  • Starter content, i.e. 3D objects and materials

  • Automated camera controls

  • Keyframe system

  • Weather simulations and much more.

* What is the current state of the game?

MXR is stable. While many of the final features are present, they will continue to be refined and bug fixed. Many integrations such as VR and virtual production support are currently in development but are not present in the beta.

* How long will the game be in Early Access?

We hope to release 1.0 in May or June

* How often will you be updating the game?

We hope to push updates every 2 weeks.

* Will my progress be saved during updates?

Saved scenes will generally be compatible with future updates but we can't guarantee all previous work will be compatible with the final version. Please keep this in mind as MXR is actively being developed and core logic and data formats may change.

* Will the price change when the game leaves Early Access?

Yes, the final price has not been determined but will be competitive with industry standard programs that range from $400 - $2,000 per copy.

* Can I provide feedback and bug reports?

Thanks in advance for contributing to making MXR an amazing and fun creative tool!
