Stellar Blade, an action-adventure game from South Korean developer Shift Up, puts you in the shoes—or high heels, rather—of Eve, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad tasked with liberating Earth from monstrous creatures known as Naytiba.

Of course, the deadliest of the Naytiba are far from pushovers, which is why we’ve got a Stellar Blade boss guide to help you finish off your foes. Naturally, there will be major spoilers ahead. You have been warned.

Brute

The Brute is the first Stellar Blade boss that you face. But this encounter, which takes place during the prologue, serves as a short battle mechanics tutorial. Eve’s squadmate, Tachy, also helps you out.

Later, though, you’ll face another variant of the Brute in the Wasteland’s Forbidden Area sector where you'll have to beware its thundering blows and area-wide explosions.

Abaddon

Abaddon’s melee attacks are easily telegraphed and parried/dodged. Once you’ve whittled down its health bar significantly, its weapons will be infused with electricity and it will call down lightning strikes on the rooftop.

Much later, you’ll face another variant of the Abaddon in the Great Desert, though the bout starts with your opponent already empowered by electricity.

Corrupter

The Corrupter is a four-legged beast that spits globules of acid, though you can deftly avoid the projectiles with the right timing. It also rears back before charging several times. If you dodge and cause it to hit a wall or a pillar, then you can briefly stun it and capitalize on the opportunity.

This won’t be the last time you face off against the Corrupter. You’ll come across its kin in the Wasteland and in Eidos 9 too.

Gigas

The giant Gigas has slow and predictable attacks, as it mostly utilizes a three-hit ground pound combo. It also tries to switch things up by performing a leaping smash or a wind-up pummel that triggers a magma explosion. The good news is that dodges can help you get behind your enemy, and you can strike the back of its legs repeatedly before it can recover.

Royal Guard Quiel

Royal Guard Quiel might be considered an ally, but she’ll nonetheless test your mettle to see if you’re ready for what lies ahead in Altess Levoire and Abyss Levoire.

Quiel has decent range thanks to her spear, and she tends to do three-hit and four-hit combos in a sequence. Dodge these blows and counterattack while she does her flourish, which leaves her wide open.

Maelstrom

What makes the Maelstrom encounters unique is that these Stellar Blade boss fights primarily require the use of your gun. The goal in both bouts—in Altess Levoire and Abyss Levoire—is to shoot the Maelstrom’s glowing pustules while avoiding its gooey projectiles. Once all the pustules have been destroyed, you can blast its gaping maw with slug shots to deal a lot of damage.

Stalker

The Stalker in Matrix 11 has a rather erratic attack sequence, as it alternates between fast strikes and delayed swings. You mostly need to watch out for its rock toss move, as well as its leaping attack and ramming maneuver whenever it jumps away from you.

Note that you’ll come across Stalkers again in the Great Desert and in Eidos 9. In Eidos 9, it’s paired up with a Corrupter, which definitely makes for a truly hectic two-on-one battle.

Juggernaut

The Juggernaut is the stuff of eldritch nightmares. This monster wields a hammer, which means you should definitely stay clear of its powerful blows. Certain attacks which have a longer wind-up time deal significantly more damage, including a jumping smash that triggers a shockwave.

Basic skills like Blink and Repulse ought to do the trick here, since these allow you to teleport behind your target or backflip farther away.

Tachy

Tachy, Eve’s old comrade, has been corrupted, and it’s up to you to put her out of her misery. This Stellar Blade boss fight has multiple phases as you whittle down your rival’s health, which causes her to sprout additional wings.

In general, Tachy adopts a more defensive or guarded stance, though she can quickly follow up with a flurry of slices with her sword. Once she gains wings, she’ll perform new abilities, including cyclonic spins and aerial dives. She can even float in mid-air to toss crescent-shaped energy projectiles that you must avoid.

Behemoth

The Behemoth is a four-legged beast found in the Great Desert. Just like similar-looking Naytiba you've faced in the past, it tends to move erratically, pouncing akin to a large cat. However, if you can incapacitate it, you can activate Tachy Mode to unleash multiple devastating abilities.

Belial

Belial is one of the toughest bosses in Stellar Blade, since have to fight it multiple times in the Spire 4 area. The real battle takes place later in the level, where Belial wields one metal sword and another that bleeds red with corruption. Blinks and perfectly timed dodges/blocks should help you out immensely, especially when Belial merges his weapons into one massive greatsword.

The bout also doesn’t end once you’ve depleted Belial’s health. Instead, it will fully regenerate its HP and you need to defeat it again. This triggers a cutscene where you have to press the correct button prompt to annihilate Belial with a railgun.

Karakuri

Karakuri, also found in Spire 4, has wildly unpredictable attack patterns. Aside from its melee swings, you also need to beware its laser beams, which cover an entire frontal arc. You’ll want to jump or dodge just to stay alive. Later, it will summon smaller robots that you also need to deal with, lest you get overwhelmed.

Democrawler / Demogorgon

The Democrawler is the last boss that you’ll face in the Spire 4 area. Upon depleting its health to 50%, it gains an empowering halo that grants new abilities. These include laser beams, tracking orbs, light explosions, shockwaves, and teleport-smashes.

Once the fight is over, you still have to kill the massive Demogorgon by shooting its eye with the drone’s railgun.

Unidentified Naytiba

The Unidentified Naytiba employs rapid melee attacks thanks to its dual sickles. While the foe is formidable at close range, you also need to watch out when it leaps, as this is usually followed by diving attacks and pounces.

Upon reaching the second phase of the bout, the Unidentified Naytiba floats in mid-air and summons golden orbs that you need to shoot. If you’re successful, it will be stunned for a prolonged period, allowing you to burst it down with your own beta skills.

Raven

Few bosses in Stellar Blade can match Raven’s speed and finesse, as even some of her abilities mirror those of Eve. These include Blinks, teleports, and half-a-dozen combo slashes. While you might be tempted to play aggressively just to match her ferocity, we suggest taking a more defensive approach as you wait for an opening to counterattack.

Elder Naytiba

The Elder Naytiba is one of two potential final bosses in Stellar Blade. You can only face this angelic guardian if you refuse to take Adam’s hand when you talk to him in The Nest.

Apart from staying clear of the Elder Naytiba’s holy-empowered attacks, you must also be ready when it flies high up in the sky. There, it spawns six floating cherubs that you need to shoot. Failure to do so causes Eve’s instant demise due to an unavoidable explosion of holy energy.

Providence

Providence is the other final boss in Stellar Blade. It’s a large mech that you can only confront if you take Adam’s hand when prompted during the finale.

Providence primarily relies on its impressive arsenal of guided missiles, laser arrays, and explosive orbs that detonate after a few seconds. Apart from these, Providence also floats in mid-air, surrounded by shields that you must shoot.

Mann

You can only do combat against Mann once you’ve beaten the campaign to unlock Boss Challenge mode. This is your last true test to see if you’ve mastered Stellar Blade’s combat mechanics.

Mann unleashes his entire arsenal throughout the fight, from smoke grenades and firearm blasts to an elongating energy sword that spans half the entire chamber. At 75% health, he’ll switch to a large hammer that allows him to launch high up into the air to perform clubbing blows.

That does it for our guide on how to beat all the bosses in Stellar Blade. We hope these tips help you achieve victory in all the frantic battles ahead.

Those who would like to face vicious Naytiba and massive monstrosities should pick up Stellar Blade, which is available now on the Epic Games Store. We also recommend the Stellar Blade Complete Edition, which includes the base game, the NieR: Automata and Goddess of Victory: Nikke collaboration DLCs, extra gold and skill points, as well as lots of exclusive outfits and accessories.
