Decimated uses blockchain technology for its external hard currency, DIO, which is a cryptocurrency used for buying cosmetics on the game website. Additionally, NFTs represent unique profile pictures, that players can own, and display on their website profile. The blockchain does not directly affect the game, but players can earn DIO, cosmetics and items through the leaderboard on the Decimated website.

Does Decimated have NFT's?

The Decimated game does not have NFT's, but we do have NFT's available to be used as user profile pictures on our website, which do not affect the game in any way other than cosmetic.

Does Decimated have cryptocurrency?

Decimated has an external hard currency called DIO which is on the Solana network. DIO can be purchased in order to buy skins and consumables in-game and on our website. DIO can also be earned in-game by leveling up the leaderboard.

Do I need to buy DIO or NFT's to play Decimated?

There is no requirement to buy DIO or NFT's to play Decimated. Decimated is free to play, and in-game purchases are optional if you wish to personalize your character, vehicle, weapons, or jetpack.

What is the core gameplay of Decimated?

Decimated is a multiplayer open world survival game with missions that players can do solo or in groups. There are three main factions; human citizens, cyborg cops and wasteland marauders, each with various types of missions such as protecting checkpoints, escorting, sabotaging or destroying vehicle convoys carrying items or VIP's, or delivering cargo to specific areas within a specific time.

Team killing is not permitted. Players can work with others in their faction to complete objectives more effectively.

What is the current state of the game?

The game is in constant development and improvement. Based on player feedback we prioritize and set our roadmap for an exciting and fun game.

How long will the game be in Early Access?

We can not give exact dates. The reason is that we want to improve the game to players' expectations. But we expect the early access to continue for at least another year.

How often will you be updating the game?

Bi-monthly or quarterly important updates. Besides those we will release occasional hotfix updates to handle any frustrating issues quickly and rollout small improvements as quickly as possible.

Will my progress be saved during updates?

Besides any unforeseen circumstances, we plan to keep player progress. However there may be some bugs that would cause exploits or balance breaking progress issues. In those cases, we may have to reset only the necessary parts of the progression.

Will the price change when the game leaves Early Access?

Currently the game is Free to Play. We'll add monetization features eventually to make revenue which we have to in order to live as an independent studio and continue on further development. But we'll prioritize players' needs before monetization.

No, connecting an external wallet is not required to play Decimated, but it is optional for players who want full control over their DIO and NFTs on the Decimated website.

Supported wallets: Any Solana-compatible wallet, such as Phantom or Solflare.

Players who don’t want to use a blockchain wallet can use the game wallet, which stores DIO of profile picture NFTs but does not allow external transfers or withdrawals.

Yes, Decimated can be played without engaging with blockchain or crypto. Players can play entirely with soft currency (credits) or use the game wallet and earn or spend hard currency (DIO) without needing an external wallet or any blockchain interactions. Blockchain features are optional for those who want to trade externally or manage their assets independently.

What chain does this product use? Is the chain proof-of-work or proof-of-stake?

The Decimated website uses Solana network, a proof-of-stake (PoS) blockchain known for its high-speed, low-cost transactions and environmental efficiency compared to proof-of-work chains.
