What is Medieval Empires?

Medieval Empires is an elaborate, online strategy game set in what is now modern-day Turkey, during the late 13th century. The storyline of the game initially focuses on Ertuğrul Gazi, a tribal warrior and a celebrated leader of the Kayi tribe facing off the English Crusaders lead by Edward Longshanks. Future faction additions such as the The Holy Roman Empire, Mongols or Byzantines would be added to make gameplay more interesting and to expand the playable world of Medieval Empires.

What is the player's journey in Medieval Empires?

The player's journey in Medieval Empires begins in a town in a Player vs Environment (PvE) area. Players will start by building their town, training heroes and creating armies to fight invaders. Players can also participate in in-game events to gain prestige and in-game resources.

Once you click the Create Account button, you will see a pop-up window on your browser.

Choose an option for sign-up. You can use your Google account, Apple ID or your email address for signing up.

Once you submit your choice, for example, clicking the arrow to provide an email address. You will then receive a verification code sent by Immutable Passport on behalf of Medieval Empires.

Why is the gamein Early Access / Open Beta Phase?

In this phase, the game is focused on PvE features and content. Additionally, players can interact with others via Blockchain related features such as Town slot rental and trading in-game items. We're refining features for Open Beta, rolling out new updates and addressing bugs.

Can I enter and play during the Open Beta phase?

Yes! You can play Medieval Empires during Open Beta Phase.

We intend to roll out the public version of the game in 2025. However the game is an open world with continual expansion and development.

How is blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency used in this product?

Medieval Empires makes the use of Blockchain to provide a secure and accessible experience to all our players, while ensuring the player empowerment through ownership via NFTs and freedom of use. The game is being developed on Immutable zkEVM and Polygon blockchain.

What utility does blockchain technology bring to Medieval Empires?

Players can own and share access to Land, and they can pass on this ownership to other players via blockchain transactions. Moreover, players can mint and trade in game assets (such as Units) on external Web3 marketplaces that support Immutable zkEVM.

Does the game require me to connect an external wallet? What wallets does this game support?

Medieval Empires supports IMX Passport as the primary wallet, but players can additionally use Metamask, TrustWallet, and 450+ others, including WalletConnect compatible wallets. Only wallet addresses on Immutable zkEVM and/or Polygon can interact with the game and its smart contracts.

Can I play the game without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency?

Yes, all core features are available to players without the need of interacting/engaging with blockchain.

What chain does this product use? Is the chain proof-of-work or proof-of-stake?

We use the Immutable IMX zkEVM and Polygon POS blockchains. Both are proof-of-stake.

Does this game have a marketplace? What can I do with the things that I earn (or purchase)?

There is no marketplace within the game. The in-game shop only offers in-game item purchases with Silver (soft currency).

Additionally, We have an external storefront on our website where Players can make blockchain purchases such as Silver, Building Materials, and Speedup items as bundles.

There are Land NFTs for sale on Immutable-supported marketplaces and OpenSea.(Polygon)

Players who own Land NFTs can invite friends and other players to play in towns on this land, and collect feudal landlord taxes from these players. Players who own one or more Land NFTs may settle on any town slot in these lands.

The players who interact/engage with the blockchain functionalities can mint NFTs within the game. These NFTs can be listed and traded on 3rd party marketplaces on Immutable zkEVM.

Are there items (such as additional content, offers or currency) for sale that are used in the gameplay of your product?

Yes, there are certain in-game items for sale:

  • Silver Bundles (soft currency)

  • Player Avatars

  • Bundle offers including speed-ups, game resources (wood/food/ore), and silvers

  • Mint Seals (for minting NFTs in game, it's an option item that is not mandatory for gameplay)

  • Faction change items (purchased with Silver, only optional for gameplay)

Can your product be used without making any in-app purchases?

Yes, all core features are available to players without the need of any in game purchases. Players can gather and accumulate game resources, speed-ups, and Silvers through regular gameplay, but this will take time. Mint Seals and Faction Change Items can be also obtained in special give-aways by the game.

Are in-app purchases refundable?

No, the purchases of in-game items are not refundable.
However, we have Withdraw Policy (在新标签页中打开) for our blockchain functions such as Staking.

What payment platform is used to facilitate these purchases? Do you use Epic Games’ platform or a 3rd-party (including your own) payment system?

As a blockchain game, we do not use Epic Game's payment method. Instead, our marketplace uses a 3rd party crypto payment service, Portal Pay. It supports multiple crypto currencies including POL, BNB, MEE, SUPER, PORTAL, as well as stable coins USDT/USDC.
