《Prison Architect: Second Chances》中改造及改过自新的相关功能可协助你的囚犯改进自己的行为，同时有机会缩短刑期，让他们能有一个全新的开始。

回归改造

利用动物疗法、与一般民众会面，以及由已出狱的囚犯所领导的 "解决冲突" 课程等新计划，来移除囚犯的负面特质，让他们的行为有所改善。

良好行为

囚犯的刑期可能依据其行为表现而缩短或延长；再犯者现在有可能再度被送回监狱。玩家每让一位囚犯改过自新就可以获得奖励；反之，每出现一位再犯者，玩家将会被罚款。

改善自我的空间

本来就有或已取得工作证书的囚犯可在由囚犯运作的房间 (包含面包坊及餐厅) 内，担任为囚犯和访客服务的店员。

回归社会

囚犯可以通过参与各项工作和训练计划累积工作经验。
