Why Early Access?
We plan to release Turbo Overkill's episodes as they are completed, with this release being Episode 1 in full. Releasing episodically allows us to implement user feedback throughout the development process much quicker, allowing a more curated full experience by the time 1.0 is completed. Early Access will allow us to work in tandem with the game's community to make Turbo Overkill the best experience possible.
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
Until early 2023.
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
We are planning to release an additional 2 episodes in the full version. These episodes are set to include new areas, weapons, story content and enemies. We also plan to add additional features including mod support.
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
The current Early Access version of Turbo Overkill includes the two episodes in their entirety, containing 16 levels and 16 secret unlockable levels, playable with 5 difficulty options. There are multiple weapons that can be found, all with alternate firing modes, and a roster of several enemies and bosses to slay. Photo-mode is also included.
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
We plan to raise the price as soon as we hit 1.0.
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
We will be actively taking on user feedback through many forms (Twitter and Discord discussions for example). We also plan to implement a direct line of posting feedback inside the game in the near future.
