What is Yolo.ex?

Set in the year 2056, Yolo.eˣ is a story-based game centered around a breakaway island network known as Arkvale. On the primary corporate trading island metropolis, you will explore the world through the eyes of a new recruit who has joined the most prestigious trading firm, looking to rise through the ranks and achieve both respect and wealth.

Meet, compete and interact with your colleagues as you jostle for the top. Learn trading related concepts and take part in many different types of missions as you take to the city in a high-tech trading drone.

Main features include:

A rich, episodic story-driven narrative that builds a compelling world with complex characters that bring the environment to life.

Explore the Yolo.eˣ office and meet and interact with its cast of characters, all who have very unique personalities, goals and ambitions.

Explore and perform many varied types of missions in the island metropolis via your trading drone.

Avoid the gaze of UNSEC law enforcement officers.

When will the full game be released?

Yolo.eˣ is currently being developed and will periodically release seven story-driven episodes over time that progress the narrative and enrich the gaming experience. The first two episodes are coming soon and the remaining five to follow thereafter.

What is coming in the near future:

Yolo.eˣ takes place over seven episodes, each containing a rich storyline that drives the overall narrative forward through story-based interactions and city-based mission, both core and non-core.

These seven episodes will be released periodically, one at a time.

All assets in the Markets 3.0 (Available only to select participants in early release via special access key) room are secured on public immutable blockchain ledgers.

This ensures verifiable ownership and transaction history for all assets. Hence they are immutable, interoperable and tradeable.

Is an external wallet necessary? Which wallets are compatible?

No external wallets are necessary to get started.

For those select participants with Markets 3.0 access keys, Yolo.eˣ has developed a wallet integrated into the experience.

Can I play without blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency interactions?

Yes! 100% You are able to enter and play without any Blockchain interactions whatsoever. Our goal is to enable absolutely seamless onboarding.

Which blockchain does Yolo.ex utilize? Is it proof-of-work or proof-of-stake?

In the Markets 3.0 room (only) Yolo.eˣ is built on top of multichain architecture.

In Early Access Yolo.eˣ primarily utilizes the Solana blockchain. Solana’s censorship-resistant proof-of-history consensus mechanism means the security of the network does not depend on high energy usage.

Is there a marketplace for in-game assets?

Yolo.eˣ does not utilise NFT’s so currently there is no marketplace for any in-game assets.

Are there items (such as additional content, offers, or currency) for sale that are used in the gameplay of your product?

Our game has the ability to interact with cryptocurrencies. But it is not mandatory and does not affect the gameplay

Can your product be used without making any in-app purchases?

Of course! Interacting with cryptocurrencies is additionally part of the game, not the main one

Are in-app purchases refundable?

This is not provided, as the NFT assets themselves that could be bought and refunded are not presented in the game

What payment platform is used to facilitate these purchases? Do you use Epic Games’ platform or a 3rd-party (including your own) payment system?

Yolo.eˣ will use its own in-game purchase system, based on the Solana blockchain. You will be able to find instructions on how to use this system in the game itself, as well as in the Discord community
