Valannia Arena is a game with significant gameplay depth, a competitive circuit, rewards, and, at the same time, it will be a part of the Valannia Universe.
In the Arena, battles will be 1v1 and 2v2, and Guild Competitions.
Valannia Arena is an open-world battlefield scenario, albeit with limited space, presented in an isometric view, where players visualize and direct real-time battles. Players can control their hero and combat units, move them, select them individually, use their attacks and abilities, and, of course, choose their targets—all in real-time. It features 100% dynamic real-time combat, focusing on player skill and strategy. Both army selection and utilization are crucial aspects of the gameplay.
Arena is built with the same quality expected from the final game, using Unreal Engine 5.
Valannia Arena Gameplay
The gameplay in Arena revolves around two fundamental pillars: the hero and combat units, both belonging to the same race. Both heroes and troops move and execute abilities in real-time, with the player deciding the targets and timing. Victory is achieved by having the last unit standing. It's a highly dynamic combat system where players control each unit, their attacks, and abilities, while making real-time decisions. Each player has one hero and a set of pre-selected combat units.
The Hero
The hero is the player's avatar in Valannia and holds great importance. Each race has 3 heroes, with one of them being the race leader, making it rarer than the other two. Heroes have 3 randomly assigned skills out of a pool of 5, and each has a unique fourth skill (ultimate) that remains constant. When minting a hero, players are not selecting a specific hero but rather a hero from a chosen race. Hero minting has different probabilities for each hero:
Race leader: 4% probability
Second hero: 31% probability
Third hero: 65% probability
Collectors can also enjoy collectible borders, each with varying rarity levels. These borders have no impact on gameplay but add an extra layer of collectibility. The rarity levels are silver (82.5%), gold (12.5%), eonite (4.5%), and valannium (0.5%).
The hero's skills and borders are determined during the minting process. Each hero is unique, catering to different combat styles, such as magic damage, melee warriors, support, or control. Heroes do not cost troop points, making it free to deploy them on the battlefield. Players can only deploy one hero, and the hero's race influences available skills.
Combat Units
Combat units, collectively referred to as troops, are chosen from a player's selected race. Each player selects their race, chooses a hero from that race, and configures their army using their unique combat strategy. Players deploy their hero and troops onto the battlefield, and after a few seconds, the battle begins.
Each of the 8 races has 6 different unit types, categorized as Tank, Infantry, Magic, Range, Cavalry and Colossi / War Machines. Some races may lack a specific unit type due to their nature, and others might have a weaker unit type. Each unit has a different "troop points" value, representing the cost of deploying that unit on the battlefield. Players have a fixed troop point value, shaping their strategic choices.
Units have basic attacks and special abilities. Basic attacks automatically target the chosen enemy, while special abilities are activated by the player strategically, adding unlimited strategic variety to battles. Abilities have cooldown times based on their impact. They can include damage, healing, control, buffs, or debuffs.
Each race specializes in a different combat style, allowing players to choose a race that aligns with their preferred strategy—offensive, defensive, control, etc. Units and heroes are NFTs, each with rarity linked to their quantity. They possess statistics such as health, armor, damage (physical or magical), critical chance, attack range, attack speed, and movement speed. Additionally, each unit has a skill tree for further customization.
Competitive Circuit
With the launch of Valannia Arena, the first competitive season for guilds in 2v2 battles will commence after initial testing. Sponsored by various sponsors, the competition will gain visibility through social media, streamers, and exclusive event broadcasts on Valannia. The competitive circuit is team-based and focuses on groups of players within guilds.
