Avast, ye landlubbers! It’s time to test your sea legs because the almighty Caribbean is calling your name. Rally your crew, sweep the deck and prepare to set sail because Tortuga – A Pirate’s Tale is now available digitally on PC exclusively at the Epic Games Store. 
Spoils, riches and eternal fame await me hearties! It’s a wide world out there and, with your sights set on gold and glory, there is much to be explored. Choose from 18 unique ship types and customise distinct features, including your flag, weaponry, hull, mast and figurehead. Whether it’s improved cannons or a defensive hull, there are plenty of ways to ensure your formidable fleet is feared from afar(rrr).

Ready to set sail? Then it is not only your ship that must be improved but also yer crew! With the sea on your side and a fearsome fleet, morale should surely be kept high... except we all know that loyalty comes with a cost. Don’t forget to regularly visit the local tavern to divide your stolen booty and keep those scallywags in line. Keep an eye on your crew’s likes, dislikes and goals or invest skill points in the talents of your hired captains. After all, nothing is less useful on the high seas than bad-tempered pirates who end up questioning their captain. 
Screenshot 2Speaking of captains, Christian Guenter, Head of Gaming Minds Studios Paderborn says of the crew morale system, ‘we put a lot of effort into researching the pirate world to simulate realistic challenges of the time and we are particularly proud of the resulting crew morale system. If the player fails to meet the needs of the crew, it can even lead to them electing a new captain (or as we pirates call it, mutiny!).'

The Caribbean may be vast, but it won’t be long before you and your crew encounter enemies on your path to eternal glory. Sink ships and build your stash of stolen booty as you take on trading convoys in tactical turn-based naval battles and parley with infamous pirate legends. Feeling brave?
