Goat Simulator 3, the sequel to Goat Simulator (but not to Goat Simulator 2, which doesn’t exist… we’ve looked it up and can’t find anything at least), is coming to the PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive. The chaotic sandbox of animal anarchy has something special planned by skipping the second game completely: online multiplayer.

Non-goat Geoff Keighley announced the game at Summer Game Fest. The residents of San Angora are about to face the most primal fear of all: goats. Pilgor and her herd of horror will descend upon the town this fall. Up to four players can run, butt, jump, swim, grind, and bleat their way through the quests, challenges, and secrets hidden in the map’s many areas. There are unnatural disasters, secret animal societies, and who knows what else is out there to be uncovered. A whole new world, from farms to suburbia, are waiting for you to explore or destroy.

As you can see from the trailer, it’s not unlikely that you will leap from a vehicle while toting a firework launcher to shoot down a hang-glider. Someone gave these goats driving lessons. They have a /lot/ to answer for.
The sandbox will let you combine elements (Fire, Electricity, Oil, and Alien Goo) to strain the physics to the absolute limit. There are a number of multiplayer mini-games, including Hoofball, playable across the map.

You’ll have a number of ‘skins’ that give the goats special traits, like being extremely tall (aka, a giraffe) or incredibly angry (aka, a rhino), and customization options that let you change your goat’s appearance. Bodies, horns, and furs are mostly cosmetic, but there is gear that you add to your head, body, back, and feet that will give your goat new abilities. They can be mixed and matched, too.

We’ll end with a quote from Santiago Ferrero, Creative Director at Coffee Stain North, who suggests you’ll regret purchasing it. He said: “Since the release of the first Goat Simulator, it's come to our attention that it did not really represent reality and how it actually feels to be a goat. So for the past couple of years, we've been doing some googling, and I am pleased to say - we've made it. Goat Simulator 3 is by far the greatest goat experience out there. Is it worth the money? Who knows. But will you regret it? Probably."

Well, that just makes us want to buy it even more.
