Honkai Impact 3rd is set in a modern world corrupted by mysterious energy known as Honkai. A tenacious resistance formed by Valkyries, brave girls carrying anti-Honkai genes, leads humanity in a war of survival and fights for everything that is beautiful in the world.
In the upcoming update, the Herrscher of Finality will represent Kiana's final form and her freest self. She's an IMG-type Fire DMG dealer who can attack with pistols and a sword. She can also fight in midair, knocking enemies airborne or slam them onto the ground. Herrscher of Finality has many fancy attack moves that highlight her poise and freedom. For instance she is able to switch between Moon Blade stance and Time Flint stance after she performs a Combo ATK, each with unique attack effects. Herrscher of Finality represents the zenith of Kiana's growth as she has attained true freedom, happiness, and perfection, thus it takes her back to her origins, when she was upbeat and carefree, always ready to embrace the future and hope!
Along with Kiana comes Raiden Mei as the Herrscher of Origin. She's an IMG-type Lightning DMG dealer and she wields Wing Blades to decimate enemies with her unrivalled sword mastery. While in battle, she charges up her Wing Blades with Mind Body Insight, and at full charge, she can draw her sword to cast Regressive Origin when sheathing or at other certain moments. During this time, she is also able to cast an extra Sin of Killing which deals Lightning DMG over time. As the Herrscher of Origin, Mei is much freer and at ease, with strength and fortitude coming from her confidence in her own strength, and also the guidance and support from her friends at St. Freya, as well as the Thirteen Flame-Chasers.
The final Story Chapter XXXV of Volume 1 will be unfolded in the new version update, Toward a New Tomorrow, where the brave Valkyries have to take on new challenges as they fight to reclaim the Earth. Meanwhile, Project Stigma and Chimera energy both pose new threats. By coordinating their efforts, Kiana and her friends have finally reached the Cocoon of Finality. Kevin, the final boss of Volume 1, is there to show the Valkyries all the original authority of Finality. The final showdown is about to begin.
