Phantom Blade Zero Guide | Release date, 28 Oct, 2026

Phantom Blade Zero, an all-new action-adventure title from S-Game, lets you finish foes with a flurry of fists and flashes of firearms. As you trek across the ravaged lands of Wulin as a warrior named Soul, you’re bound to acquire numerous contraptions to aid you in your adventure.

Our Phantom Blade Zero Phantom Edges guide lists over 20 secondary weapons that you can collect and utilize. All of these can be used in combat to hit foes from afar, break defenses up close, or summon minions temporarily. A select few can even be used to help with exploration to open up new areas. That said, please note that this article does contain spoilers.

Weeping Creek Valley

Several Phantom Edges in Phantom Blade Zero can be found in Weeping Creek Valley. First, there’s the Dread Axe, which drops from a boss named Peng Meng, the Axemaster. Apart from cleaving targets with ease, it can also be used to break iron chains that bar your path.

You may also obtain a ranged option early on by talking to the Brooding Old Archer at the Outpost. This starts a quest called Purge the Sect, where you need to eliminate hostiles in the Ruthless Archer Camp to the north. Once you’re done, you’ll receive the Feather Bow, which deals increased damage against enemies at full health. The bow can even shoot down hanging objects, allowing you to loot materials off the ground.

Lastly, there’s the Hunter’s Chain Sickle, which allows for a medium-to-long-range multi-hit combo. It can be yours upon defeating The Hunt, the chapter boss in this particular region. Note that the Hunter’s Chain Sickle lets you grapple to reach higher ledges or jump across gaps.

Crimson Forest

The world of Phantom Blade Zero is filled with eccentric characters, one of whom is a treasure seeker called Quick Hand Zhang. After rescuing Zhang in the Crimson Forest, collect the three relics in the region. He’ll then reward you with the Flying Dagger, which you can toss to hit foes from afar.

The other secondary weapon in the Crimson Forest is the Iron Gauntlets, which comes from the Iron Fever boss fight. It lets you unleash several punches to break enemy shields and stoneskin armor.

Village of Lu

You should be able to find more Phantom Edges in Phantom Blade Zero upon arriving at the Village of Lu, the game’s third major region. One that’s unmissable is the Bastion, a massive shield that protects you from arrow traps. It’s dropped by Zhuo Bi the Gatekeeper.

A bit later once you head north, you’ll encounter Master Bi Hai of Kuye Temple. Beating him nets you the Kuye Temple Prayer Beads, your first summon-type item. It lets you call upon three Bronze Men monks to punch and kick your enemies for 15 seconds.

As you tackle the main objective in the region, you’ll eventually reach the underground caverns. There, you’ll face the No. 3 Musician Puppet, Yuzan. Try to block the blue and white projectiles to reflect them back at her. Once she’s dead, you’ll receive the Heartrend Pipa, a musical instrument that shoots sonic blades.

Finally, make sure you interact with all the Firefly Memory Flowers in the region. Doing so unlocks a secret area where you do battle against Dusk, the Puppeteer. This bout yields the Puppeteer’s Bell, which summons a couple of automatons to fight alongside you.

Pangzhen

The town of Pangzhen is huge and you’re bound to find over half a dozen Phantom Edges. The first is the Fire Meteor, a burning flail that drops from Blaze.

Soon thereafter, you’ll face Wu Xuan, the Fallen General, who drops the Wolfjaw. This spiked mace hits hard, while also draining the health of targets.

Next, there’s You Loong’s Deluge, a dragon-head contraption that sprays a stream of water. This effect makes enemies vulnerable to lightning and ice elemental effects and, while exploring, it can be used to douse flames in an area.

Later upon beating Chang Hong, you’ll receive the Thunder Spear. Combos with this weapon cause lightning strikes and paralysis.

As you tackle the main objective in Pangzhen, you’ll eventually battle the Lion Dance Grandmaster. He drops the Flaming Mane, a lion head mask that blasts a torrent of fire. This burns through thick vines, opening pathways for exploration.

Likewise, if you’re able to grab all the hidden relics in the town, you’ll complete Quick Hand Zhang’s quest. He’ll give you the Goldblaze, a flintlock musket for ranged combat.

Last but not least, there’s the Illusory Pipa–perhaps the toughest Phantom Edge to unlock in Phantom Blade Zero. This broken instrument, obtained as part of the campaign, can be repaired by an NPC named Myst in her tavern in Pangzhen. Past this point, you must defeat several bosses, including the aforementioned Dusk, the Puppeteer, in the Village of Lu. Additionally, you have to eliminate two other bosses–Yubi (Swordfighter Puppet) in Mandate Encampment and Yan Qiansui (Zither Maiden) in Meigu Lake–to retrieve new parts,

Once you’re finished with the ordeal, Myst will fully repair the Illusory Pipa to replace the Heartrend Pipa. The Illusory Pipa can then be played to dispel impassable barriers, revealing more secret areas in the game.

Mandate Encampment

Once you’re able to explore the Mandate Encampment, be on the lookout for a couple of Phantom Edge weapons. The Bashpole, a giant mace, comes from an ogre boss named Wan Jun, the Coppermaul. You can use it to smash through floorboards.

There’s also the Swordsman’s Summon, a reward from the Chief Disciple and Red duo boss fight. It spawns three Mandate infantry soldiers that harry your opponents.

Meigu Lake

You may acquire additional Phantom Blade Zero Phantom Edge weapons upon reaching Meigu Lake. There’s the Loong Trident, a reward for beating You Loong, the leader of the Blackwater Pirates.

Then, if you sail to the easternmost island, you’ll face the One-Eyed Archer. Defeating him nets you the One-Eyed Bow. This ominous-looking ranged weapon can fire death rays, too.

Finally, there’s one particular Phantom Edge that’s part of a longer quest chain that involves Old Man Gen. You’ll stumble upon the carriage driver in the Village of Lu, whereupon he’ll ask you to look for his wife in their home in Pangzhen.

After completing that task, you’ll come across Old Man Gen once more on the frozen shoals in the western part of Meigu Lake. Before he departs this world, he’ll entrust you with the War Wagon. This Phantom Edge causes you to ride a horsecart as you plow through enemies!

Mountain of Imprisonment

If you play the Illusory Pipa in front of the mists in the northeastern part of Meigu Lake, you’ll be able to visit the Mountain of Imprisonment. This region has more Phantom Edges for you to collect.

The magical blade, Ink Cut, is a reward from a quest called Hero’s Lament. Your goal is to find the Detached Cage Lever, which is inside a ruined building near the Commander’s Platform. This tool can be used on a hanging cage that contains Moji’s Bloodstained Sword. Return the sword to the NPC, Liu Yi, to complete the quest.

The Flying Guillotine, meanwhile, is a large bladed flail that can be yours upon defeating Huangxing in the Lady’s Shrine. The item also latches onto mechanical dials, causing walls to part and reveal hidden rooms.

Lastly, there’s Inanis’ Radiant Fan, found in the depths of the Lady’s Shrine once Huangxing has perished. When cast, this magical item creates a large area-of-effect that gradually restores your health and sha-chi energy.

That does it for our guide on how to unlock all Phantom Edges in Phantom Blade Zero. There are certainly more armaments scattered all over the Wulin. We don’t want to spoil all the details right now, so keep your eyes peeled while you’re exploring.

Fans of fast and frenetic combat–“kungfupunk”–should pick up Phantom Blade Zero, which is available now on the Epic Games Store. A Deluxe Edition, which includes the base game, the Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form outfits, digital artbook, and digital soundtrack is also available.
