I am very excited to tell you that The Riftbreaker: Metal Terror has just been released! It is the most extensive update the game has received since launch, adding hours of new content and quality of life fixes suggested by our community. The update comes in two parts. The first one is a free expansion for all owners of the base game, and the second is a paid DLC with an additional chapter of the Story Campaign. Let’s watch the trailer first, then I’ll tell you all about the Metal Terror features. The new part of the Story Campaign revolves around the Metallic Valley – a previously unexplored area on the surface of Galatea 37. A series of strange events and unusual readings lead Ashley and Mr. Riggs on a trip to this mysterious place that is unlike anything ever seen before. Almost all species of wildlife seem to be affected by the unstable metallic substances found in abundance in the biome. As an intrepid scientist it is your job to figure out what happened. Through a series of unique missions you will try to understand the nature of the Metallic Valley, study its past and draw conclusions for the future. Survive, and your technology will leap forward like never before. Failure is not an option.
The second part of the update, available for everyone, comes with revolutionary changes for the Survival Mode. You will face the challenges of the Metallic Valley biome on an entirely new map. Test your base-building, planning and combat skills in a full-blown war against the alien hybrids. However, the new map, enemies and shiny new technologies are not the only things that changed. In fact, we revamped the entire Survival Mode structure to give you more flexibility when it comes to builds you want to use. You get more technologies available right from the start. Specialized loadouts for each biome ensure that you are no longer defenseless in the early game. The Alien Technology tree is no longer locked behind the Laboratory building… The changes are massive and we hope you will enjoy playing around with all the features we prepared for you.
