Leading the charge was the announcement of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, the first real-time strategy game set in the Age of Sigmar. The fantasy RTS has a single-player campaign co-written by Black Library author Gavin Thorpe. Join the Stormcast Eternals’ detachment’s leader, Sigrun, as she delves into the swamps of Ghur to uncover a mysterious source of arcane power that may turn the tide in the war for survival. Realms of Ruin promises dynamic real-time battles where no two clashes are the same, a vast war across multiple fronts, and casual and competitive multiplayer. Open beta registration awaits at the official site.
Total War: WARHAMMER III will be adding Harald Hammerstorm to its roster of legendary heroes. His god-blessed hammer will banish many souls from the battlefield.
Blood Bowl III will be bestowing a new team onto the sacred pitch. The tactical sports brawl will welcome the Lizardmen for free for the launch of the new season, booting off later in June.
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector didn’t waste any time and launched the Orks DLC into the fray, letting players lead the Orks into turn-based battles across the surface of Baal.
In the turn-based battle to purge the galaxy of The Bloom, a new foe arises! The War Dog Stalker joins Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters alongside new Bloom assault missions.
To celebrate, a swathe of Warhammer games is now on sale until June 1, 11 AM ET. From grand strategy to intense FPS blasters, here are some highlights of the Warhammer Skulls Festival sale.
Warhammer Skulls Festival sale
Total War: WARHAMMER III is 33% off

It’s hard to capture the totality of Total War: WARHAMMER III. It’s one of the grandest strategy games you can buy, with more races, maps, campaigns than ever before. Take your forces into the Realm of Chaos, where four vast powers are battling for control. Pick one of seven races and command hundreds of troops across a strategic map and individual battles. That’s just the start. If you own the previous games in the series, you’ll have access to maps, races, and factions from all three games, creating a game of gargantuan proportions.
Blood Bowl III is 20% off

A sport so grim that it replaced all war between the races of the Old World. Blood Bowl III takes American football and twists it into a turn-based battle full of kerrunch, corruption, and cheating. And tactics. Despite the brutal spectacle, strategy is at the heart of the darkness on display. With 12 races, which can be fully customized, pitches with their own rules, campaign and competitive modes, and seasonal updates, it’s a fun, compelling mix of sports management and extreme violence.
Necromunda: Hired Gun is 65% off

Prefer to be a bit more hands-on? Necromunda: Hired Gun is a cracking FPS where you’re a mercenary taking on the hive city’s most notorious targets. It’s a surprising mix of violent gun battles and elegant traversal, with wall running and a grappling hook that gives you access to the enormous environment’s most inaccessible areas.
Happy 40th anniversary, Warhammer.
