Why this game in Early Acccess?

The foundations of the game are going to be ready for early release with some initial game modes. However as it's still quite early we invite the community to vote, shape and help balance elements of the game as we grow it over time. The long term goal is to have a wide selection of well calibrated game modes as well as a future single player story mode which players will get a taste of in the Early Access through a prologue

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

We expect the game to be in Early Access for a year, at which stage our goal is to release the final version with the full story mode campaign and console cross platform multiplayer.

Are there items (such as additional content, offers or currency) for sale that are used in the gameplay of your product?

Yes, there is an in-game currency which can be purchased and spent on in-game assets such as Champion characters and unique skins.

Can your product be used without making any in-app purchases?

Yes the product can be used without making any in-app purchases, there is an in-game progression system available to all players which unlocks the same in-game currency which can be purchased.

Are in-app purchases refundable?

No, in-app purchases will not be refundable.

What payment platform is used to facilitate these purchases? Do you use Epic Games’ platform or a 3rd-party (including your own) payment system?

We will utilise our own payment system to process in-app purchases, it will not be through the Epic Games platform.

How is blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency used in this product?

A crypto wallet is generated for all users and assets are stored and represented on the blockchain. When an asset is purchased from the store or obtained through the progression system, it is created on the blockchain. The blockchain is then utilised through our unique skillstaking protocol to delegate voting power inside the game to players.

What utility does this bring to the product?

The blockchain integration allows token holders to interact with players inside the game through our skillstaking website (external to the game). Players who engage in ranked gameplay have their ranks published to the blockchain, where ARCAS token holders can then view and stake players in order to earn. In the process of doing so players are delegated voting power inside the game to vote on features and changes which the game developers propose.

Does this product require me to connect an external wallet? What wallets does this product support?

No, the Arcas Champions game generates wallets for all players automatically tied to their in-game ID and there is no need to connect an external wallet.

Can I use the product without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency?

No, assets are stored on the blockchain as the baseline database of the game and therefore all players will be utilising it. That being said there is no need to understand blockchain technology and the experience is familiar to any gamer.
