Why Early Access?

*“Breathedge 2 is planned as a large story-driven survival game. Since we're still a small team, developing the game in stages and releasing new chapters over time is the most practical approach for a project of this scale.

The previous part followed the same approach, and we're grateful to our community for their continued support and valuable feedback.”*

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

*“We currently expect Breathedge 2 to remain in Early Access for roughly 16–20 months, though that may change depending on how development progresses, player feedback, and the scope of any changes we decide to make along the way.

We plan to leave Early Access once the game is close enough to the full Breathedge 2 experience we have in mind and we’re happy with its overall state. We’ll also do our best to polish everything to a blinding shine and deprive players of at least some of the bugs they love so dearly.”*

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

*“During Early Access, we plan to gradually expand Breathedge 2 through major updates.
Our current plans include continuing the main story, adding new areas to explore -including gameplay on a planetary surface - along with additional characters and quests, further development of the existing survival and exploration mechanics, and more items, equipment, and ways to interact with the world.

Another major part of the game will be its different forms of transportation: small flying and ground vehicles, as well as a personal spacecraft and a warp-jump system. And, of course, building.

The exact scope and order in which these features appear may change during development and based on community feedback.”*

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the start of Early Access, Breathedge 2 already offers a substantial playable experience featuring the first major story chapter and a large area to explore. The game includes its core survival and open-space exploration mechanics, resource gathering, crafting, upgrades, repairs, combat, main and side quests, NPCs, and plenty of optional locations, events, and assorted junk that you’ll inexplicably feel compelled to pick up.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

*“As with the first game, the price will increase by the time of the full release. It will most likely rise gradually as major updates are released.

We don’t plan to make Breathedge 2 an expensive game, but the lowest price will be available at the start of Early Access.”*

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

*“Player feedback is one of the main reasons we’re releasing Breathedge 2 in Early Access. We don’t just want to fix bugs - we want to see how people actually play: which mechanics work well, what feels awkward or unclear, which parts of the game players would like to see developed further, and where our brilliant ideas turn out to be slightly less brilliant in practice.

We’ll be following feedback and discussions on Steam, Discord, and our social media channels, collecting bug reports and suggestions, and occasionally running polls on individual mechanics and possible directions for the game.

For the fastest, most reliable, and most direct way to reach the team, you can also email us at [email protected].

Community feedback may influence balance, UI and usability improvements, quality-of-life features, the development of existing mechanics, bug-fixing priorities, and the content of future updates.

That said, the overall direction and story of the game will remain in our hands, as we have a very clear vision and a specific story about the Man that we want to tell. Even there, however, we’ll be watching player feedback closely and taking it into account.”*
