For as long as there have been kingdoms, war has been waged with the tools of men. Spear and sword, bow and siege engine — victory belonged to numbers, and to whatever cunning a commander could find on the day. Kingdoms flared and were extinguished, never to be seen again.

Then, from deep within the earth, a pillar rose: stone cut with carvings no living hand had made. Then another. Then more, wherever the ground had been fought over — until one dark day the Pillars woke. Lightning tore through the ranks of armies at battle. Fire walked out of the stone and into the towns behind them. People fled with fear in their hearts, and when it was done the Pillars sank back into the earth, leaving embers in their wake that did not cool.

Dawn of Embers is a real-time strategy game of towns, armies and magic. Gather timber, stone, gold and food; raise walls and towers; train villagers, soldiers, siege engines and mages; and take the field against AI commanders or other players.

A story campaign that teaches as it tells. Serve as a captain under Ashmere's commander through the Age of Iron and the Day of Ruin, learn the craft of war, and meet the Pillars before anyone understands what they are.

Every map is procedurally generated, and AI commanders play at the difficulty you choose. Save a match against the AI and pick it up later.

Gatherer, Warlord, Ranger, Mystic, Builder or Jack of All Trades: declare what your kingdom will be better at than anyone, then spend twenty points across your Disciplines, the standing orders your army will drill.
