What is Mektropolis?

Mektropolis is a multiplayer science-fiction first-person shooter set roughly 500 years in the future. Four powerful factions fight across a war-torn galaxy in a conflict that spans frontline soldiers, armoured HCA suits and towering Meks.

Who are the four factions?

Players enter a conflict between the United Federation of Mankind (UFM), the ancient Krangat Fourth Echelon (K4E), the Alliance of Autonomous Sentient Machines (AASM), and the evolved biological empire known as the Dominion (TD). Each has its own identity, technology and military doctrine.

What forms of combat will Mektropolis feature?

The full Mektropolis vision spans three scales of warfare. Infantry fight for objectives and control of the battlefield, armoured HCAs provide protected mobility and heavy firepower, and immense Meks bring battlefield-scale weapons and armour to the conflict.

Which platform will Mektropolis be available on?

Mektropolis is planned for Windows PC through the Epic Games Store. Information about any additional platforms will be announced separately if confirmed.

Is an internet connection required?

An internet connection is required for online multiplayer and access to Mektropolis account information, achievements and associated assets. However, the current build can host local matches against AI-controlled bots without an internet connection. A dedicated single-player mode is also planned and will be detailed as development progresses.

Which languages are supported?

Spoken audio is currently available in English. Interface and text localisation is available in English, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Brazilian Portuguese.

Which game engine is Mektropolis built with?

Mektropolis is developed using Unreal Engine 5.

Is Mektropolis still in development?

Yes. Mektropolis is in active development and testing. Features, content, system requirements and other details may continue to evolve as development progresses.

When will Mektropolis be released?

The release date will be announced when Mektropolis has reached the appropriate stage of development and testing. Follow the Epic Games Store page for future availability announcements.

What is included in Early Access?

Early access provides online multiplayer (PvP and PvE) and local (PvE) game modes.

What is the current state of the product?

Mektropolis is already a fun and functional game, but is still in development, so features may change over time - including additional, removal or change of current features.

Will I have access to the product during the entire Early Access phase?

So long as you are willing and able to update your Mektropolis client software as new versions are released, you will continue to have game access.
