Look closer
Ornamento is a zen puzzle game that invites you to slow down and spend time with some of the great works of painting.
Every artwork in Ornamento is carefully selected and transformed by hand into a unique puzzle. Instead of dividing a painting into a regular grid, each piece is individually cut around its figures, objects, shapes and composition.
Rebuilding a painting becomes a different way of looking at it.
You begin to notice a gesture in the background. A colour echoed somewhere else on the canvas. The relationship between two figures. The way a foreground leads into the distance.
Details that could easily disappear in a passing glance become part of the puzzle itself.

Rebuild masterpieces, piece by piece
Every painting receives its own handcrafted puzzle. Move and rotate the pieces, recognize shapes and visual relationships, and gradually restore the original work.
The experience is designed to be calm and accessible, giving you time to observe each painting at your own pace.
Discover how a painting comes together
Ornamento is not about testing your knowledge of art.
There are no right answers to memorize. By simply rebuilding an artwork, you naturally spend time with its colours, volumes, rhythms and composition.
The puzzle becomes a way to enter the painting.
A carefully curated journey through art
Ornamento brings together a selection of remarkable works from different artists, periods and artistic traditions.
Famous masterpieces sit alongside paintings you may never have encountered before, each chosen for what it can offer as both an artwork and a puzzle.
Celebrate the completed work
Once the final piece falls into place, step back and enjoy the painting as a whole.
Completion is celebrated with a brief animated interpretation of the artwork, a small moment of life marking the end of your time with the painting.
About Artistic Content and Age Ratings
Ornamento offers a calm, contemplative puzzle experience, much like browsing the collection of a fine art museum. Some artworks depict historical, religious, or mythological scenes involving violence, nudity, or other mature themes.
The game's content warnings refer to these artistic depictions, as well as to the short animations that play when a puzzle is completed. Players reassemble the artworks and explore their details; they do not take part in the acts depicted.
