Why Early Access?

The reason for Early Access is that we want to involve the community early in development. It’s important for us to understand and explore the community’s preferences while staying true to our original vision. For us, Early Access is a great way to get player feedback while we continue to improve and polish the game.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

Our goal is to develop the best possible version of Pistonica. We plan to remain in Early access for roughly 18 months. The length of the Early Access period may vary depending on player feedback, the continued development process, and the needs of the game.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

We plan to build upon the Early Access foundation with additional content, performance optimizations, improved balance, and overall polish. As part of future development, we also plan to add multiplayer and support for mods.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

The current build represents a functional and playable version that showcases the core gameplay. Explore a large island, mine resources, build machines, and automate your processes. While the main systems and features are in place, there might be features that are incomplete, subject to change, or missing.

Will I have access to the product during the entire Early Access phase?

The plan is to allow access throughout the entire Early Access phase. However, we reserve the right to deny access if we encounter a situation during Early Access that requires us to do so for a limited period.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

We plan to evaluate pricing as development progresses and new content and features are added. This means the price may increase when Pistonica approaches a more complete state.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

Community feedback is an important part of our development process. We plan to gather player feedback through our Discord server, social media channels, and different community forums. This feedback will help us understand the players’ needs and guide us in feature prioritization, balancing decisions, and overall improvements.
