Welcome to the world of REDRAW.
Yesterday, this was forest.
Today, it is desert.
Tomorrow — no one knows.
No pattern, no warning, no end.
People call this the "Redraw."
REDRAW
In the first days of this planet, order briefly existed.
All land gathered on one hemisphere, the ocean on the other — sharply divided, in perfect order.
For the ancient life of that age, it was a golden age, and the last peace there would ever be.
Then, from one day onward, everything began to be "redrawn."
The terrain of this planet began to change at irregular intervals — no pattern, no warning, no end.
CIVILIZATION
Archaeologists have uncovered the ruins of predecessor civilizations across the world: fragments of genes, buried technological facilities, words carved into alloy plates.
From their research, people reached a terrifying conclusion: this planet has seen at least several cycles of civilization.
The redraws people endure today are called the "Lesser Redraws": every few months, the terrain changes in one locality. The humans of this planet have learned to endure them — even to adapt.
Archaeological findings show that this planet has also suffered repeated "Great Redraws": each destroys 99% of everything on the planet, leaving less than 1% of its legacy to survive. Civilization is annihilated outright, and the evolution of all things must begin again from nothing.
Successors stand on the shoulders of their predecessors and develop several times faster than the civilizations before them. And precisely for that reason, today's world is a "tribal society" — technologically far advanced, yet with profoundly backward relations of production.
In addition, ancient sites mention a force called the "Ultimate Redraw," one capable of rewriting the entire universe. No one has seen it, and no evidence of it can be found — it is only a distant creation myth.
ASCENT
Leave the land, and you leave change behind.
To survive, humanity built twenty-six floating strongholds, and the sky became civilization's last refuge — here, at least, nothing would be redrawn.
But every resource civilization needs to grow lies on the ground.
To keep their capital cities running, the tribes have no choice but to wage war on the surface, seizing as much as they can before the next redraw.
And so the ground became the battlefield.
THE KINGDOM
The United Kingdom commands the most advanced technology and the most formidable power.
Redraw is rebirth, war is peace, division is union.
Such is the Kingdom's official slogan.
It is said that the first king made a pact with the "Old God." The Old God is the sole survivor of the last Great Redraw — the one who witnessed the rise and fall of civilizations.
Yet to this day no one has seen the Old God, and the terms of that pact remain a mystery.
Countless people have tried to uncover the underlying logic of the redraws. The United Kingdom, however, is never alarmed — the Kingdom claims to have cracked the pattern of the redraws: it can always predict the next redraw precisely and prepare in advance.
That power makes the other twenty-five nations both depend on it and resent it.
LEGEND
Archaeologists have found warning texts left by predecessor civilizations in many places, and one word recurs again and again: the Entropy Stone.
According to prehistoric records, whoever finds the Entropy Stone can make the world "reverse," returning everything to its original, stable state.
Every civilization has searched for the Entropy Stone. Every civilization has tried every means to resist the redraws.
Every one of them failed.
A thousand years have passed since the last Great Redraw.
How long until the next — no one knows.
REVERSAL
You were once a prince or princess of the United Kingdom. Not long after your birth, your mother was murdered in a palace coup; an old retainer saved you and smuggled you out of the Kingdom in secret.
From then on you became "a person already dead in the archives," wandering as an exile across a land that might change at any moment.
Along the way you met a mysterious girl named "Tide," and the commanders willing to follow you.
More important still, you awakened a power — time reversal. Local, brief. Not a turning back of time itself, but the ability to invert the direction of all speed around you, returning everything nearby to the state it was in minutes ago.
This power is startlingly similar to what the Entropy Stone is said to do.
Perhaps it is the key that opens every mystery.
You will lead your commanders on an adventure across this continent, drawing ever closer to the truth behind it all.
Your journey begins with revenge — but along the way you come to realize that the truth of this world is far more complicated than simply stopping the redraws.
The final answer will exceed everyone's imagination…
The land moves; we walk upon it.
The blueprint melts; we draw within it.
All that is certain perishes; we endure.
