What is included in Early Access?

Warped Universe Early Access gives you full access to the current playable build of the game, including solo exploration, combat across multiple planets, character progression, cosmetics, and the shared solar system experience where the entire community works together to push further into the universe. New content, features, and fixes are added continuously throughout Early Access.

Will I have access to the product during the entire Early Access phase?

Yes. Once you have access to Warped Universe, you retain full access throughout the entire Early Access period and into full release. No additional purchases required to keep playing.

What is the current state of the product?

Warped Universe is fully playable in its current state and is being actively developed. You can expect a stable core experience with regular updates rolling out as phases, 0.2, 0.3, and beyond, each adding new features, balance improvements, and content based on player feedback. Some features planned for full release, including online co-op, are still in development and not yet available in the current build.

How long is the product in Early Access?

We expect Early Access to last approximately 6 to 12 months, though the exact timeline will be shaped by development progress and community feedback.

Will the price change when the product leaves Early Access?

Warped Universe is free to play and that does not change when the game leaves Early Access.

Can I provide feedback and bug reports?

Absolutely, and we genuinely want you to. Player feedback directly shapes what gets built next. You can reach us through our Discord community, accessible via the in-game Discord button, or through our website at warped.games. Season Zero exists specifically so we can fine-tune the experience together with our players.

How often do you update the product?

Frequently. Updates roll out as numbered phases throughout Early Access. The content of each update is heavily influenced by what players are asking for. New weapons, planets, enemies, gameplay styles, and features are all on the table. We believe the best way to know what the game needs is to get everyone in and playing and respond to what the community tells us.

Will co-op multiplayer be available?

Online co-op is actively in development and is a planned feature for Warped Universe. It is not available in the current Early Access build. We will announce when it becomes available.

Is my progress saved between updates?

It depends on what type of progress. Here is how it works:
What stays with you permanently: Your cosmetics and earned items are yours to keep forever, no matter what season it is. Your Koju balance also carries over between seasons.
What resets each season: Solar system progress resets at the start of each new season so the entire community gets to drive it forward together from scratch. That shared experience is central to what Warped Universe is. Character level also resets each season. This is intentional. Enemy difficulty scales as you push further into the solar system, so carrying over levels would throw off the balance. The unlock rewards you earn as you level up each season are also a big part of the fun, and resetting means you never skip past them.
Season Zero will be broken into multiple phases, 0.2, 0.3, and so on, as we fine-tune, fix, and add features. Later seasons will introduce more defining changes from the start. Season Zero is where we dial everything in together with the community.

Are there items (such as additional content, offers, or currency) for sale that are used in the gameplay of your product?

Yes, Warped Universe will offer various in-game cosmetic items, additional content, and currency for sale. These purchases will enhance your gameplay experience by providing access to unique cosmetic items and other enhancements. Note that these items do not enhance gameplay abilities and there are no pay-to-win elements.

Can your product be used without making any in-app purchases?

Yes, players can fully enjoy Warped Universe without making any in-app purchases. All essential gameplay elements are accessible without spending additional money. In-app purchases are entirely optional and are designed to enhance the player’s experience.

What payment platform is used to facilitate these purchases? Do you use Epic Games’ platform or a 3rd-party (including your own) payment system?

Warped Universe uses Xsolla as a third-party payment system for in-app purchases related to optional cosmetic collectibles on Sui. Epic Games does not facilitate these transactions or handle payment details.

How is blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency used in this product?

In Warped Universe, the Sui blockchain is used exclusively for optional cosmetic collectibles on Epic. Players can own these items as digital collectibles on Sui, but this is entirely optional and never required for gameplay. There are no pay-to-win elements associated with these features.

What utility does this bring to the product?

Sui enables true ownership of optional cosmetic collectibles. Players can keep items off-chain or on-chain and convert between the two at their discretion. This provides flexibility and the option to trade or sell items on external marketplaces if desired.

Does this product require me to connect an external wallet?

No, every player is automatically assigned a game vault that works behind the scenes. You never need to think about it. If you want to trade or sell cosmetic collectibles on external marketplaces, you can connect your personal Sui wallet and move items out at any time. Otherwise everything stays in your vault and never interrupts gameplay.

Can I use the product without interacting or engaging with blockchain, NFT, or cryptocurrency?

Yes, Warped Universe can be fully enjoyed without interacting or engaging with any of these features. Your game vault is assigned automatically and works behind the scenes. Everything is completely optional and does not impact the core gameplay experience.

What chain does this product use? Is the chain proof-of-work or proof-of-stake?

Warped Universe uses the Sui blockchain, which operates on a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism. Sui is a next-generation chain built for speed, low transaction fees, and seamless gaming experiences. Proof-of-stake is significantly more energy efficient than proof-of-work chains, making Sui an environmentally responsible choice.

Does this product have a marketplace? What can I do with the things that I earn (or purchase)?

Warped Universe features a storefront where players can purchase optional cosmetic collectibles. Items stored in your game vault can be moved to your personal Sui wallet and traded or sold on third-party Sui marketplaces. There is no in-game marketplace at this time.
