Why did you chose to go for an Early Access release?

As we close out the pre-production phase, we do so with a clear, comprehensive vision and a structured development roadmap that charts our course from prototype to full release. Every feature, system, and design decision has been guided by a singular goal: to deliver a grounded, immersive experience that does justice to our vision.

With that in mind, we believe a community-driven early access campaign is the logical and necessary step to ensure the best possible 1.0 game. We'll appreciate your support and cannot wait to share our passion for rich, meaningful gameplay with Early Access players.

When will the game come out of Early Access (1.0 launch)?

Our path to 1.0 will be guided by community feedback. Based on our current roadmap, we expect roughly 12 months from Early Access launch to full release.

What are the differences between the 1.0 and Early Access versions?

Our vision for 1.0 will be to fully realise the Westlanders concept: a vibrant open-world fuelled by deep game systems and simulations that enables you to grow from lone survivor to established countryman. 1.0 will include more locations, crafting & building options, and more game mechanics. It will also include fully fleshed out Quests and storylines. Game content and features will be incrementally updated between Early Access and 1.0.

How far are you in developing the Early Access version?

The core components are in place and there is already an early version of the game loop functioning including survival, base building (e.g. mechanics pertaining to the wagon) and progression patterns. Only a limited amount of items, weapons, tools and crafting recipes available. At this stage, Story and Quests components are not yet implemented.

Will there be a price difference between Early Access and 1.0?

We plan to increase the price once the game leaves Early Access and reaches 1.0, though this may change as development progresses.

Will the community have an opportunity to feedback on the game and provide input relative to the development process?

Absolutely, we will collect feedback through Discord, other social media and community forums embedded in the platforms. We plan to deliver regular updates on how the game will evolve, based on this feedback.
