ASTRO Bot, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth tie for most 2024 Game Awards nominations

Sony Interactive Entertainment was the most nominated publisher in this year's Game Awards nominees, with 16 nominations, followed by Square Enix and Xbox with a dozen each, and Sega with 11.
The nominees are selected by a jury of more than 130 media and influencer outlets from around the world. Specialized juries also convene for other categories including esports, accessibility, and best adaptation. The winners are determined by a blended vote between the voting jury (90%) and public fan voting (10%).
In 2023, The Game Awards delivered a record-setting 118 million livestreams, up about 14 percent from the previous year. The Game Awards 2024, the 10th annual global celebration of the video game industry, will livestream for free across more than 40 different digital video platforms including YouTube, Twitch, X, Steam, Facebook, TikTok Live, and Instagram Live. The show kicks off on Dec. 12 at 7:30 PM EST / 4:30 PM PST / 12:30 AM GMT.
