Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3 tie for most Game Awards nominations

Nintendo is The Game Awards’ most nominated publisher in 2023, with 15 nominations across its combined portfolio, followed by Sony Interactive Entertainment/PlayStation with 13 nominations, Xbox (inclusive of Bethesda and Blizzard) with 10, and Epic Games—the most nominated third-party publisher—with nine. The list of nominees includes 112 different games, individuals, teams, and events that span a multitude of gaming genres and platforms.
The nominees are selected by a jury of more than 100 media and influencer outlets from around the world. Specialized juries also convene for other categories including esports, accessibility, and best adaptation. The winners are determined by a blended vote between the voting jury (90%) and public fan voting (10%).
In 2022, The Game Awards delivered a record-setting 103 million livestreams, up 20 percent from the previous year. The Game Awards 2023, the 10th annual global celebration of the video game industry, will livestream for free across more than 40 different digital video platforms including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Steam, Facebook, TikTok Live, and, for the first time ever, Instagram Live. The show kicks off on Dec. 7 at 7:30 ET.
