Hell Let Loose: Vietnam
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, the upcoming shooter from the developers at Expression Games, kicked off the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025 with a trailer.
Set in 1965, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will pit two teams of 50 players against each other in the jungles of the titular country. It’s set during the Vietnam War, a clash between the North Vietnamese Army and the United States Armed Forces.

Developer Full Circle’s skateboarding simulator slid into the FGS Gamescom 2025 show with a video narrated by its developers.
skate. takes place in a large-scale multiplayer world intended to be populated by thousands of other players. Over pre-alpha footage, they spoke about how the game adjusts to the skills of players, both new and expert. For the former, that means less falling. For the latter, that means the potential to extend and morph into different, high-level tricks. Mobility has gotten some big upgrades, too, offering players the opportunities to get off of their skateboards, climb the environment, and even grab onto the environment and swing around.

Hell is Us
In Hell is Us, developer Rogue Factor puts players into a nightmareish war, set in an isolated country, and challenges them to explore, fight, and survive.
During FGS at Gamescom 2025, we saw the third-person action game’s brutal melee combat in bloody action. The narrative trailer follows the protagonist confronting his past, confused about his parents and the twisted world around him, and determined to fight his way through the darkness for answers.

DarkSwitch
Developer Cyber Temple Games’ DarkSwitch mashes city-building and survival, and we saw both in a trailer during the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025.
Your task in the game is to build a city vertically up and around a giant tree, defending it against the Fog. You’ll gather scarce resources, research technologies, and send people to explore and discover the secrets of their forbearers. The trailer showed off the lush environments and the transformation of “an ordinary research outpost” up into the tree and out into the dangerous, enemy-filled, and fog-shrouded surrounding lands.

EverSiege: Untold Ages
EverSiege: Untold Ages is a game about freeing humanity from its last refuge, a settlement called Basion, and we saw the isometric action game—battles, rebuilding, and upgrading powerful heroes armed with axes, bows, and daggers—during the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025.

Pizza Bandit
Developer JOSOFT’s Pizza Bandit is a four-player co-op shooter that mixes bounty-hunting, cooking, and time travel.
An FGS at Gamescom 2025 trailer followed the game’s protagonist, who always wanted to be a chef, as he and his fellow fighters visited locations like a technologically advanced future city, an ancient Asian setting, and an idyllic, snow-covered forest, mowing down enemies with exposed brains, gutting fish, and roasting recipes on a spit.

Cronos: The New Dawn
Cronos: The New Dawn is a dark, third-person survival horror game set in an alternate-reality version of 1980s Poland.
The developers at Bloober Team gave some background in a Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025 trailer. “Cronos: The New Dawn is a game where you face the dangers and the horrors of the future to salvage what’s left of humanity—of the past,” said lead writer and narrative designer Grezegorz Like. As the Traveler, you hop back and forth between timelines, defeating grotesque enemies and solving puzzles in a future after a disease corrupted humanity. We also got glimpses of weapons, which have multiple alternate uses alone and with the environment.

Discounty
In developer Crinkle Cut Games’ Discounty, players grow a secretive business empire while also owning and managing a discount supermarket.
The Discounty trailer shown during FGS at Gamescom 2025 was full of pixel art style, as the main character planned and organized their supermarket and met the locals’ demands (and protests) in the community of Blomkest.
Discounty launches Aug. 21, 2025 in the Epic Games Store.
Tormented Souls 2
Tormented Souls 2 is an upcoming survival horror game from developer Dual Effect Games, and a trailer from the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025 followed protagonist Caroline Walker’s quest to free her sister from a cult.
We saw the game’s makeshift weapons, like a lead pipe, as well as environmental puzzles, as Caroline ran through the dark and faraway town of Villa Hess, jimmied open a dead shark’s mouth with a crowbar, fought off a gigantic crab, and kicked a stained and rabid pig square in the sternum.

Developer Ubisoft’s upcoming strategy game turns players into city-builders with one goal: Expand the Roman Empire in Anno 117: Pax Romana.
A trailer showing during the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025 focused on the Celtic part of the campaign, set far away from the empire’s homeland. It emphasized the perils of empire-building, from melding Celtic and Roman traditions to striking a balance between competing ambitions to “civilize the land” or to “be changed by it.” Throughout, it showed the living world of Anno 117: Pax Romana, which every player gets to build in unique ways.

Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori is the upcoming open-world adventure game set in 13th-century Mongolia from the developers at Aesir Interactive.
“Why do we Mongolians never stop riding?” the game’s protagonist asks during an FGS at Gamescom 2025 trailer. Her answer is simple: She’s a courier, delivering information to people waiting for answers and hope, riding to survive, gather, hunt, or simply to follow the wind. As she spoke, we saw the breathtaking landscapes, 13th-century Mongolian settlements, her prowess with horses, and her earnestness always on display.

Bounty Star
Developer DINOGOD’s upcoming action game is one part third-person shooter, one part farming simulator, and one part base builder, and it’s headed to the Epic Games Store on Oct. 23, 2025.
Bounty Star follows Clem, an ex-soldier, veteran, and mech pilot. A trailer from the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025 showed every aspect of the diverse gameplay, from whirling mech combat to scrapping in the Red Expanse in action. The area where Bounty Star takes place is filled with rich soil, dangerous beasts, and deadly bounty hunters. We saw glimpses of Clem tending to water lines and power, cooking and growing food, making ammunition and fuel, and even raising animals.
