كشف مقدم العروض Geoff Keighley يوم الاثنين عن الألعاب المرشحة لجائزة مهرجان Game Awards لهذا العام وجاءت God of War Ragnarök في صدارة الألعاب المرشحة لعام 2022. Ragnarok حصدت 10 ترشيحات من قائمة تشمل 108 من الألعاب، والأفراد، والفرق، والأحداث موزعة على 31 فئة.

الألعاب المرشحة لنيل جائزة أفضل لعبة لهذا العام هي: A Plague Tale: Requiem (Asobo Studio/Focus Entertainment)، و Elden Ring (FromSoftware/Bandai Namco)، و God of War Ragnarök من (Sony Santa Monica/SIE)، وHorizon Forbidden West (Guerrilla Games/SIE)، وStray (BlueTwelve Studio/Annapurna Interactive) و Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (Monolith Soft/Nintendo).

كانت Sony Interactive Entertainment الناشر الأكثر ترشحًا بـ 20 ترشيحًا عبر ملف ألعابها المجمع، تليها Annapurna Interactive و Nintendo بـ 11 ترشحًا.
