Por segundo año consecutivo, Sony Interactive Entertainment es la editora más nominada en The Game Awards, con un total de 19 nominaciones en el conjunto de su catálogo, seguida por Kepler Interactive, con 13, y Electronic Arts y Microsoft, ambas con 10.
Las nominaciones de The Game Awards las otorga un jurado formado por más de 150 medios y creadores de todo el mundo.
En 2024, la gala de The Game Awards obtuvo su máximo histórico de espectadores, con 154 millones. Además, contó con más de cuatro millones de espectadores simultáneos en Twitch y YouTube, y generó más de 1,59 millones de mensajes en X. La edición de este año se emitirá en directo por YouTube, Twitch, X, Steam, Facebook, TikTok Live, Instagram Live, y, por vez primera, en la plataforma de Amazon, Prime Video.
