What’s a Vietnam-based shooter without a little Wagner?

Fortunately team17 Digital and Expression Games has our back with the official Hell Let Loose: Vietnam launch trailer featuring Richard Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries” as performed by FAME’s Studio Orchestra.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, which  launched on Aug. 13 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, sets out to deliver “history’s fiercest battlegrounds with unrivalled authenticity.”

The game features 50 versus 50 battles that take place across six distinct large-scale maps with dramatic terrain and weather variants. The devs also point out that the game has historically accurate weapons, vehicles, and tactical options including U.S. aerial units, and NVA forces.Both sides in the game can also hunt through Vietnam's complex river network with heavily armed patrol boats.

It’s been 16 years since 1666: Amsterdam was first announced and ten years since we got our first look at the game.

It popped its head up again earlier this year during Summer Game Fest and this week Panache Digital Games announced that 1666 is officially launching in Early Access on Aug. 25 for PC.

The studio also dropped a new Gameplay Feature video giving us a deep dive into the game’s investigation, combat, day-night cycle, and the unique abilities of Noa and Aaron.

1666: Amsterdam, which is directed by Assassin’s Creed series creator Patrice Désilets, is a narrative-driven action-adventure experience built around immersion, atmosphere, and player-driven discovery, the game invites players into a world shaped by secrets, power, and human conflict.

Are you ready for some football!

No, not soccer, I’m talking American gridiron and the best way to play it without leaving your house: Madden NFL 27.

The latest take on Madden-flavored football includes the new persona engine, which EA Sports says is the biggest change to player behavior, negotiations, weekly management, news and free agency that the studio has ever made.

Other changes coming to Madden NFL 27 include more physical gameplay and an expanded skill tree in Superstar.
