Why Early Access?

With the Bladesong Early Access release, we want to finally give you access to the swordmaking tools we have been building and testing over the past years in Bladesong’s Creative Mode. With your help, we want to hone these tools further, and at the same time flesh out the Story Mode gameplay and craft the remaining chapters of Bladesong’s ambitious narrative.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

We are planning to finish the story and all major swordmaking features over the course of 2026 before launching our full version in 2027.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

Early Access starts with a narrative prologue and the first chapter of Bladesong’s story. We are planning to expand this story to cover five chapters in total. The swordmaking will constantly be improved and enhanced with a growing library of parts and materials, as well as new features like twisted blades, broken fullers, further options for part morphing, improved export options and more.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

Story Mode currently contains a prologue as well as a richly-woven first chapter. Craft swords with more than 150 sword parts, over 30 materials and a wealth of engravings, and share them with your friends or export them as STL for 3D printing.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

As we get closer to Bladesong’s 1.0 release, we will adjust the price to reflect the game’s progress.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

We are reading every post across various community channels and are constantly active on our official Discord server, where you can share your swords and ideas, report bugs, and take part in Community Challenges to push the limits of what can be done in Bladesong.
