PATLABOR the Case Files
What’s Coming in Future Updates?
Thank you for playing PATLABOR the Case Files.
The controls improvements we announced earlier have been implemented in today's update, released on October 19.
Based on the extensive feedback we received from players, we have revised the controls with a focus on attacking and lock-on, the areas most frequently requested.
Whether you're currently playing or haven't jumped in for a while, we hope you'll take this opportunity to try out the new controls.
■ Improvements in This Update
① Improved Lock-On
The lock-on angle has been widened, making it easier to target enemies.
In addition, while locked on, your Labor will now turn in place to face the target, allowing you to track enemies more intuitively.
This improvement applies to Assist, Normal, and Hard modes.
Babel mode retains its original specifications.
② Improved Lock-On Status Display
Enemy HP bars now indicate whether an enemy is "Lockable" or "Locked On."
This lets you see at a glance which enemy you're targeting, making combat smoother.
③ 360° Attack Directions
When you attack while holding the stick, your Labor will now turn toward the input direction before attacking.
If an enemy is near that direction, your Labor will automatically face it head-on before striking, making it easier to land hits on your intended target.
④ Ranged Weapon Lock-On(Assist Mode only)
You can now lock on with a single button press when using ranged weapons.
Locking on turns not only the camera but also your Labor itself toward the target, making it easier to aim during ranged combat.
This feature is only available when Assist Mode is enabled.
⑤ Revised Tutorial
The lock-on tutorial now visually displays the actual lock-on range.
The aiming tutorial has also been revised so that you practice aiming and firing before moving on.
This makes the controls easier to learn for players who are just getting started.
Thank you for your continued support of PATLABOR the Case Files.
