Early Access Buying Guide

What content is available in the current Early Access build?

If you purchase Samsara today, you have access to the full core experience and the complete narrative arc. The current build includes:

  • All Six Playable Avatars: Full progression and unique combat styles for the Manusya (Human), Deva (God), Asura (Demi-god), Preta (Hungry Ghost), Tiryag (Animal), and Naraka (Hell-being).

  • The Four Continents: Complete exploration of Jambudvipa (Tropical), Viratdeha (Snow), Aparagodaniya (Desert), and Uttarakuru (Floating Islands).

  • The Full Story Conclusion: Unlike many Early Access titles, the final ascent of Mt. Meru, the confrontation with Yama (the Lord of Death), and the ability to officially "Escape Samsara" to see the story's conclusion are already fully playable.

  • Extensive Boss Encounters: Battles against the 5 Aggregates, Lord Matsala, Khyati, Mara, the Four Heavenly Kings, and the final boss Yama.

  • Side Questlines: Complete narrative arcs for Suvana, Raksa, Kamadhenu, and Shevadi.

  • The Void (Boss Rush Arena): An alternate challenge area of total darkness unlocked once you have completed the four continents. The Void tests your combat ability to the absolute limit.

  • Basic New Game Plus: Players can currently carry over their save data into a new playthrough to continue their journey, though this mode does not yet feature increased difficulty scaling.

Which bosses will I encounter on my journey?

Each region is guarded by powerful entities, ancient mini-bosses, or features world-changing events:

  • The 5 Aggregates: Formidable mini-bosses scattered across the continents that must be overcome to fully master the cycle of rebirth.

  • Lord Matsala (Jambudvipa): The formidable Asura Lord.

  • Khyati (Viratdeha): A brutal test of skill within the frozen wastes.

  • Kamadhenu (Aparagodaniya): This is not a traditional boss fight, but a high-stakes battle between the Deva and Asura. You must intervene to save Kamadhenu before she becomes a casualty of the warring factions.

  • Mara (Uttarakuru): The Tempter, serving as the final hurdle before you reach the mountain.

  • The Four Heavenly Kings (Mt. Meru): The final guardians you must overcome during your ascent of Sumeru before you are worthy of facing the Lord of Death.

  • Yama (Mt. Meru): The Lord of Death and the final boss of the game. He awaits those who reach the summit of the mountain.

What is planned for the 1.0 Release?

While the core story is available now, the 1.0 release is dedicated to achieving the "Gold Standard" of the souls-like genre:

  • Gameplay Refinement: Based on playtesting and demo reviews over the last year, we are tightening up combat for more challenging, fluid gameplay and addressing key community "pain points."

  • Mantra and Mudra Balancing: A comprehensive balance pass for all magic systems across the six avatars to ensure diverse and viable build paths.

  • Robust Localization: Expanded language support to welcome a wider global audience to the Bardo.

  • Quality of Life & Final Credits: Final polish to UI/UX and updated credits for the hundreds of developers, including our student partners, who helped bring Samsara to life.

What is the Post-Launch Roadmap?

System Tightening: Deployment of refined combat mechanics, magic balancing, and localization updates.

Full New Game Plus (NG+): Deployment of the full difficulty-scaled experience, featuring enhanced enemy encounters and unique rewards for subsequent cycles.

Stability & Polish: A scheduled release to address any issues present in the final build that slip through the net.

Tantric Implements: Unique functionality and expanded combat options for offhand items.

PROTOGE Content: Integration of high-quality lore and features developed by our external partners through the PROTOGE initiative.

Why was the release moved from June 2025?

We have been listening closely to our players and working hard to bring an experience that meets the high expectations of the genre. Based on playtesting and demo reviews/feedback over the last year, we decided to extend our development to focus on refining the core gameplay features. Our priority has been addressing player feedback to ensure the best experience possible—tightening combat fluidity, balancing our systems, and polishing the world to ensure Samsara is a truly definitive souls-like experience.

How does purchasing Samsara during Early Access support those aspiring creators and game developers who worked on the project?

INFINITY27, an indie game studio and Unreal Authorised Training Center, has self-funded the Samsara project to ensure we can build a game that acts as a platform for aspiring talent to practice their craft, gain experience, and earn credit on a live project. Your support will enable us to continue running our studio while investing in creating free opportunities for individuals and professional game developers through our bespoke training and experience programs. Your support directly helps secure and prove the viability of the project for future learners, up to and beyond the May 2026 release, allowing us to maintain and grow this unique and much-needed opportunity to reach more aspiring developers who love making games as much as you love playing them but need a chance to prove they can create fantastic content that people love and wish to support financially.

What is the current state of the game?

We designed Samsara for Early Access from the ground up. We believe everything about this game benefits from ongoing feedback, from the balancing to the storytelling.
Samsara in Early Access is almost content complete. Expect final refinements as we move to release.

For our Early Access launch, we wanted Samsara to be far enough along that as many players as possible could have a great experience from the onset, yet not far enough along that it's too late in development for us to act on the feedback we receive.

How long will the game be in Early Access?

We aim to continue refining Samsara based on player feedback until we hit the standard players expect.

How often will you be updating the game?

We will be working on the game continually until the full release, with updates being pushed to address any major concerns in the months after.

Will my progress be saved during the updates?

We are working to ensure that player progress is saved with each update.

Will the price change when the game leaves Early Access?

No.

Can I provide feedback and bug reports?

Yes. We deeply value player feedback and issue reporting.

Can I contribute to the development of the game?

Yes! We have various ways you can get involved with the development of the game, from playtesting and providing feedback to producing content through one of the studio's experience programs.
