Why Early Access?

Over the years we updated Titan Quest 1 with a lot of polish and quality of life features. With Titan Quest 2, we want to not “only” reach that same level, but also exceed it. We are convinced that this is IMPOSSIBLE without involving the community. With this Early Access, we would like to invite you to join our growing community of dedicated players and join our game development process months ahead of its official release. Our special price reflects its ongoing development. Your feedback during this phase will help us in the creation of content and features, fine-tuning of gameplay, performance optimizations, and overall polish.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

We will stay in Early Access for as long as needed, depending on the feedback of our community. Currently, we are thinking about one year.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

We plan to develop additional masteries, new content and world segments, stories and quests as well as new supporting features to enhance the game’s longevity like crafting. We plan to release these things as Early Access updates as soon as they are ready. The cadence of updates we plan is small updates (bugfixes, balancing, minor polish updates) monthly (can be skipped if nothing major is needed) and major updates roughly every 3 months which will add major new features, mechanics and/or content.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

The current state demonstrates the core gameplay experience with content of about 15 hours and the feature set as described on the About section on the Epic Games store page. All elements might lack additional polish and quality of life features so despite shaping future content and features with your feedback we also want to do additional development iteration on the content that is there. Multiplayer is currently in an early preview state which is functional but lacks features as well.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

The Early Access pricing will be significantly lower than the price of the completed game at the release of version 1.0. We plan to increase the pricing in stages until the launch of version 1.0.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

We plan to run regular surveys, organize feedback sessions, and will be actively monitoring our surveys, reports, forums, Discord, reddit and social media and delivering updates continuously throughout the Early Access. We will NOT be able to reply to every single post, but rest assured, we will read and digest every single one of them.
