Why Early Access?
Vampires: Bloodlord Rising is launching in Early Access to actively involve the community in the development process. We want to make sure that our ideas and future plans for the game are aligned as much as possible with the ideas of the players and our devoted community. The goal is to refine gameplay mechanics, balance, and features through real-world player testing and feedback.
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
Our plan is to stay in Early Access for roughly 12 months to implement all the features we have on our roadmap. This also allows us to incorporate the community feedback and finalize all elements before the full release. Depending on issues like performance optimization or bugfixing beyond the expected allocated time for that, the timing might be changed, though.
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
The full version of Vampires: Bloodlord Rising will offer significantly more content, with at least three times the content available in Early Access. This will include additional quests, more story chapter and cinematics, characters, world-building elements as well as management of your vampires and thralls. Depending on the community feedback we might also streamline and modify existing gameplay systems. While the Early Access version already includes multiplayer capabilities, the full release will further polish these features and expand on multiplayer interactions.
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
The Early Access version provides a robust technical foundation for the gameplay experience, featuring core mechanics such as vampire powers, castle building, experiencing the story with choices and consequences as well as open-world exploration. It will also be possible to engage in multiplayer co-op for up to 4 players.
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
The pricing strategy for the time during or after Early Access has not been decided yet, but there may be an increase in price upon the full release as the game expands in features and content.
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
The community plays a big part in our development process. We need and cherish the feedback from the community and are committed to engage with the community on social media platforms or on Discord. We want to hear from the community what they like about the game - and even more so, what they don’t like, so we can figure out a way of addressing those issues in order to make sure that Vampires: Bloodlord Rising delivers the best possible experience. Of course it goes without saying that we will always be there for support on bugs and technical issues, should they arise. With the involvement of the community we want to make sure that the players’ voices are heard and integrated into the final product.
