Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2025: Highlights and trailers from today's showcase

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream
The developers at Red End Games created Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream as a stealthy exploration of loss in a beautifully rendered city, with a just-announced July 15, 2025 release date.
During the Future Games Show 2025, we saw characters sneak around the titular city of Eriksholm in the year 1900, and the game’s creative director (one of 16 developers of the game) described the experience as a “stealth puzzle game with a strong emphasis on story.” The game’s segment ended with a trailer showing off the game’s strong cinematic roots (and that release date).

Titan Quest II
Grimlore Games’ Titan Quest II is an action role-playing game based on Greek mythology, and that starts with Nemesis, the goddess of retribution. The game got a deep dive during the Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2025 with Balint Marczin, lead systems designer, explaining its Greek roots. The basic narrative hook, he said, is that when you play, you’re trying to prove yourself to the gods. You begin not as a hero but a trainee, and player “choice is at the core of the game,” from skills to classes. Marczin described Titan Quest II as a microtransaction-free game with planned “traditional DLCs.”

POPUCOM
POPUCOM is a colorful co-op platformer from the developers at Hypergryph, and it got a gameplay trailer focused on cooperation, platforming, puzzle-solving and color-matching at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2025.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite
Developer weltenbauer. Software Entwicklung’s Firefighting Simulator: Ignite bottles the danger and excitement of those who rush up the stairs into the fire. The danger was on display at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2025, as a team of four firefighters charged into burning buildings to save people and property with co-op coordination (and a lot of water).

Formula Legends
Formula Legends is a racing game designed to celebrate the full history of formula racing, from cars to courses.
The game’s Future Games Show 2025 trailer took viewers on a tour of motorsport history by way of the game’s arcade aesthetic, highlighting cars, tracks, and customization.

Under Par Golf Architect
Under Par Golf Architect from Broken Arms Games is a simulation game where you design golf courses, manage them, and play what you’ve created.
The game’s quick Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2025 trailer showed off the building mechanics, budget and staff management, and even working on customer satisfaction.

Don’t Wake the Beast
Developer Artificial Disasters’ Don’t Wake the Beast is a roguelike stealth game that challenges players to sneak through dungeons that are always changing.
During the Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2025, the game’s designer and producer walked viewers through the game, and we watched a treasure hunter steal and hide from the titular beast. The thing is, the more treasure you collect, the more noise you make, and the more obvious your location becomes to the very thing you’re trying to avoid across four biomes, each with different mechanics. Fail, and you get to try again, but the randomly generated dungeon won’t be the same as last time.

Hell is Us
Developer Rogue Factor’s Hell is Us takes place during a nightmarish war in an isolated country, and it got a Sept. 4, 2025 release date at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2025.
We saw the third-person action-adventure game in action during a developer-narrated trailer. They described how discovery is an integral part of Hell is Us, but they designed it so that players have to work to find things. In other words, it’s more realistic than some other projects that add a lot of video-gamey affordances. In Hell is Us, it’s about player prowess and attention. Stick around to see some combat against some strange enemies at the end.

Hela
Hela stars a white mouse on a mission to solve puzzles and explore the huge world, inspired by the Scandinavian landscapes that Swedish developer Windup knows best.
At the Future Games Show 2025, Hela got the briefest of video clips, showing the mouse walking through a beautiful land.

Agatha Christie – Death on the Nile
Agatha Christie – Death on the Nile sets the classic detective story in the 1970s, putting players in the shoes of Hercule Poirot and Jane Royce. The game’s Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2025 trailer embraced the ‘70s with a disco vibe. It followed Poirot and Royce as they investigated the murder, discovering details both tiny and gun-sized, and assembling the clues to make an accusation.

House Flipper 2 Scooby-Doo DLC
House Flipper 2 lets players buy, renovate, and build houses to decorate, flip, and prosper. In October, you'll be able to team up with Scooby-Doo in the upcoming DLC.
We saw developer Frozen District’s upcoming content in motion, as a player made their way through a spooky upturned mansion, complete with creepy portraits with moving eyes, medieval suits of armor, secret passages, and, of course, messes to clean up everywhere. Sounds like a job for Mystery Inc.!

Fading Echo
The floating islands of Corel set the stage for Fading Echo, a “a fast-paced desert-punk action-adventure,” as the developers at New Tales describe it.
During the Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2025, we saw the game’s protagonist, One, use water as a weapon, slipping through cracks, splashing down as a wave, and bursting into vapor.

Herdling
Developer Okomotive’s Herdling is a game about herding mysterious creatures through the mountains and beyond.
The veteran Mac developer Panic is publishing Herdline, and you can take a look at Arco and Thank Goodness You’re Here!, a game that EGS contributor Francisco Dominguez calls “a playable sketch show set in an English town.”
