Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025: World premieres, news, and trailers

Just in case you couldn’t make the trip, here’s your guide to everything we saw during ONL, from the trailers and world premieres to news and exclusives, custom-tailored for Epic Games Store players. Bubsy 4D
Bubsy returned after a long absence in a trailer during the ONL 2025 pre-show that showed off a 3D platforming adventure called Bubsy 4D.
Check out Bubsy 4D in the Epic Games Store and the trailer above to see its craft-inspired worlds, a modern take on some old enemies, the Woolies, and some new leaping, wall climbing, and hairball-inspired action.
Pac-Man joins Sonic Racing: Crossworlds
Pac-Man will join Sonic Racing: Crossworlds with the Pac-Man DLC pack game scheduled for a late 2025 release.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is the first entry in the kart racing series since 2019. It’s set to take the blue blur and his friends—like Pac-Man and his Team Ghost enemies—on a kart-racing tour across land, air, sea, outer space, and even other games, including Pac-Village.

Lords of the Fallen 2
A cinematic trailer revealed Lords of the Fallen 2, the sequel to the 2023 Lords of the Fallen action role-playing game reboot.
The cinematic trailer’s narrator asks a simple question to the presumptive player character: “Will you harness this darkness within, and deliver unto our so-called lords, retribution?” It sounds good, but if you fail, he said, so does the world. So pretty big stakes in a game that takes place 100 years after the previous entry in the series.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight was announced during Opening Night Live 2025 with a narrative trailer that tells the origin story of the Caped Crusader and involves punching minifigures to pieces in combat that looks an awful lot like Batman: Arkham Asylum.
The trailer showed off the open-world Gotham City and the famous rogues’ gallery, including the Joker and Bane. There were also vehicles like the Batmobile and plenty of movie references from 1989 to the present.

Fallout TV show trailer
Two members of the creative team and two of the actors from the Fallout TV show—Ella Purnell (Lucy) and Aaron Moten (Maximus)—joined Geoff Keighley onstage to talk about the upcoming Amazon Prime TV show, followed by a teaser trailer for the upcoming season.
If that’s got you in the mood to play in Bethesda’s twisted wasteland, check out Fallout 4 and Fallout: New Vegas, the latter of which is the second season’s setting, which premieres on Dec. 17, 2025 and will include the video game’s character Deathclaw.
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando
Developer Saber Interactive and esteemed horror director John Carpenter are teaming up to save the world in this first-person shooter headed to the Epic Games Store.
The world gameplay premiere trailer shown at Opening Night Live 2025 showed off John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando near-future setting. It takes place after science goes sideways and unleashes the Sludge God. At Gamescom ONL 2025, we saw the Toxic Commando mercenaries take the battle to the hordes, shooting, punching, and cooperating to take the world back.

The music of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
The music of developer Sandfall Interactive’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 came alive with a live performance from composer Lorien Testard on acoustic guitar and Alice Duport-Percier singing “Alicia,” a song from the game, at ONL 2025.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 tells the story of Expedition 33 and its heroes’ battle against the Paintress. For more, read about how its turn-based combat pays homage to all-time great JRPGs, and check out our guide for defeating the Paintress.

Silent Hill f
At ONL 2025, a new Silent Hill f trailer included a first-listen to the dulcet tones of American voice actor Suzie Young voicing the protagonist Hinako.
Silent Hill f follows Hinako, whose hometown has been shrouded in a mysterious fog. To unravel the mystery, she’ll have to fight grotesque monsters and solve creepy puzzles. We got tantalizing glimpses of it all, through the eyes of the lead-pipe-wielding Hinako, during the trailer.
The game is slated for a Sept. 25, 2025 release, and you can pre-purchase Silent Hill f today in the Epic Games Store and get a ton of bonuses that you’ll see on that page.
Cronos: The New Dawn
Developer Bloober Team’s Cronos: The New Dawn is a survival horror game with a time-travel twist, set in an alternate-reality version of 1980s Poland, and a real-life (or maybe AR) version of the Traveler appeared onstage at Opening Night Live 2025 in all of its creepy, bubble-helmeted glory.
Its dark, third-person action was on display in a trailer that followed the live-action Traveler. It followed a curious cat through the dimly lit streets until it met the in-game Traveler. The rest of the Traveler’s trailer was all about exploring dank environments, destroying twisted monstrosities, and also meeting that cat again.

Fate Trigger
Fate Trigger, developer Saroasis Studios’ anime-styled hero shooter, was in action at Gamescom ONL 2025 with a cinematic trailer that showed off a shooter with battle royale, team-based defense, and toxic trials modes.
The trailer focused on the game’s heroes, who shot, lobbed grenades, and built defenses in environments from barren wastelands to idyllic fall forests and cities.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be released on Oct. 21, 2025, according to an ONL 2025 trailer.
Set in 2024 Seattle, the game takes place during a vampire war. You play as Phyre, an elder vampire, and we saw plenty of her in action—it pays to be a vampire when fighting humans and the supernatural—during the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 trailer.
For more on the game, be sure to read our hands-on preview of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2’s Gamescom demo. That included more “than two hours of unedited content from the start of the game, full access to character classes and the open world, and no limitations on how many times we could play through different paths and classes for a full week before Gamescom kicked off.”

Kingdom Come Deliverance II’s Legacy of the Forge DLC is headed to the game on Sept. 9, 2025, according to a teaser trailer shown during Opening Night Live 2025.
As the DLC’s name implies, the trailer follows medieval blacksmiths creating weaponry. In Legacy of the Forge, players will build and run a forge in the town of Kuttenberg and create weapons to use in the game.
